Every Saturday at the Tay Basin and inside the Crystal Palace from 8am to 1pm The Perth Farmers' Market is dedicated to locally grown and crafted products.

Started in 1992, the market is run by volunteers from the vendor base, as well as with help from the town and community. We are always looking for interesting new crafts and more producers. 2017 - open May 13th to October 7th

Pet of the Week - Meet Mr. Luke Baroni, a spaniel mix rescued from Brazil. While he likes to keep his age a secret, they estimate that he is about 10 years old. He was visiting the market from Smiths Falls, and let is be known that he likes sardines and liver, going for walks and dislikes thunderstorms.

Pet of the Week - Look at those ears! They belong to 3 year old Nimbus who was visiting family in the Perth area but lives in Toronto. He was found through the Toronto Humane Society and is a Husky/Retriever mix. His likes include swimming, running and anything that involves activity! Teach this dog to ride a bike and he'd be a triathlete.

It's the return of our ever popular Chili cook off where vendors contribute a chili made the way they like it and the Yak youth services volunteers dish it out for donations. Oh yeah, and bragging rights are given to the winners judged by the YAK volunteers. Eat at the market or take home for dinner that night!

Pet of the Week - 9 month old Addie was brought round to the market last Saturday from Rideau Ferry to socialize and learn about behaving around lots of people. This Golden Retriever teen loves wrestling and (of course) food!
