Today, our store was closed for Thanksgiving, and Troy and I were able to spend the entire day with our four children. No interruptions, no rushing off to the store, and no worrying about what might be happening while we weren’t there. Just a day to slow down, be together, and appreciate what matters most.

And what makes that even more special is knowing that our incredible team got to do the same. ❤️

Our staff work SO hard, day in and day out. They show up, they put in the effort, they support one another, and they help us take care of this community. We truly hope each and every one of them enjoyed a well-deserved day off, doing whatever made them happy. We are so thankful for the people we get to work alongside every single day. We couldn’t do what we do without them.

Troy and I often talk about how lucky we are to live where we do. Parry Sound is such an incredible community. From the beautiful landscape that surrounds us to the kindness, generosity, and genuine care that people show one another, there really is something special about this place. We are so proud to call it home. ❤️

This past week was a busy one, but it was also a reminder of why we love what we do.

We had the privilege of working alongside the Care Coalition to support their Turkeys for Tummies event. From ordering products and organizing everything to packing it all up and loading the trailer, there were countless hours of work involved. And not just from us, but from SO many incredible people who came together to make it happen.

Knowing that we played even a small part in helping provide Thanksgiving meals to 150 families in our community is something that means more to us than we can put into words. 🦃❤️

That’s what community is all about. People helping people.

Throughout the year, we do our best to give back whenever and wherever we can. Whether it’s supporting local organizations, contributing to community events, or helping make someone’s day a little easier, we believe that being part of a community means showing up for it.

And we are only able to do that because of YOU.

Every customer who walks through our doors, every family who chooses to shop with us, and every person who supports our store helps make those contributions possible. Your support allows us to turn around and support the very community that supports us. And for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Troy and I genuinely love what we do. Anyone who knows us knows that the store is on our minds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It’s more than just a job to us. It’s something we’ve poured our hearts into, and something we take a tremendous amount of pride in.

Over the past four years, we’ve had the opportunity to build relationships, work alongside some amazing people, watch our team grow, and become even more connected to this wonderful community.

We don’t take any of it for granted.

To our staff: Thank you for your hard work, dedication, patience, and everything you do, including the things that often go unnoticed. We see you, and we appreciate you more than you know.

To our customers: Thank you for choosing us, supporting us, encouraging us, and allowing us to be part of your lives. Your continued support means the world to our family and our entire team.

To our community: Thank you for reminding us time and time again what makes Parry Sound such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

This Thanksgiving, our hearts are full.
