Ottawa Organics began with a dozen customers, a handful of local farms, and one employee. 14 years later, we have grown to provide hundreds of weekly customers with certified organic products from over 20 local producers with a hard working team of 10+ employees. Order pre-made fruit and vegetable baskets or build a custom order on our website by Tuesday at noon. We deliver for free year-round to the Ottawa-Gatineau area from Wednesday to Saturday.

With Autumn comes fresh organic California fruit. This week we have the first harvest of seedless Navel oranges, sweet white "Oro-Blanco" grapefruits, "Fall Fiesta" plumcots (part plum, cherry, nectarine, and peach!), jumbo red "Flavor Fall" plums, and kiwi.

Ian and Julie at Jardins Glenorra have harvested butternut squash, green peppers, white "baked potato" acorn squash. We still have some of their purple "double fun" potatoes, too.

Peter from Fairweather took our leftover sprouting purple potatoes at the end of last year, and gave them a new life. New crop purple skin/white flesh potatoes available for a short time. We won't have any leftovers this year!

Strawberries from Ferme Jean-Pierre Plante have given another late summer harvest this week.

Summer vacation might be over, but ice cream season isn't! Make the most of these hot summer days with a scoop of ice cream from Montreal's finest artisan glaciers!

Get ready for the long weekend!

Heirloom cherry tomatoes and lots of fresh-picked corn from Pair A Gardens.

James Leahy and his team picked new crop Sunrise apples. Available in 2lb and new 5lb mini crates.

Ian and Julie at Jardins Glenorra harvested white "baked potato" acorn squash, and purple "double fun" potatoes.

Plus, 2023 harvest organic summer honey from Miels d'Anicet in Ferme Neuve (about 2 hours north of Ottawa).

This week's round of certified organic sweet corn comes from Peter at Fairweather Farm just down the road in Manotick, and from Ferme Chapeau Melon across the river in Buckingham, Quebec. Throw some cobs on the barbeque and enjoy corn the way it should be - fresh, local and organic!

Melon season is here. Ferme Chapeau Melon and Jardins Glenorra are both bringing us Cantaloupe melons this week. Jardin d'Ambroise has harvested mini watermelons.

Blueberry season marches on. Jardins La Defriche has foraged small wild blueberries and Ferme James Primus has picked more high bush "Bluejay" blueberries for us this week.

Give your fruit bowl a tropical twist this week with star fruit, kiwi, mango, and pineapple.

We're taking a roadtrip to visit Ferme Giroflée in rural southwestern Quebec to pick up the first harvest of local organic blueberries. Eat them fresh and freeze some for later!

Once a year, we are treated to Mallika mangos. These succulent mangos, originating from India and grown in Mexico, are renowned for their smooth, fiberless flesh and juicy, aromatic qualities. Enjoy one, and you'll want to eat a case of them!

This week is the last harvest of strawberries from Jardins Purdelys. Stock up on baskets or trays for making jams and freezing.

We're on the road tomorrow to visit Jardins Glenorra and Jardins Purdelys in the southwest corner of Quebec and load up on fresh picked snow peas and strawberries for our baskets!

This week we travel north to Ferme Jean-Pierre Plante on the small island of Île-d'Orléans near Quebec City to try their organic strawberries. These strawberries are delivered in generous 750ml plastic-free baskets. You'll find them in most of our baskets this week, alongside veggies from many local farms.
