It was a great day at the Toronto Congress Centre to attend the Grocery Innovation Show. There were a lot of big brands as well as some “first timers” . So great to see so many different products all under one roof. Did I mention the samples they were giving out? There were plenty! From ice cream to seasoning to popcorn to hot sauces; the list was endless!
South Africa also had a large presence with several key suppliers: Mardouw Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Lize Mouton Collection of hand crafted teas, Peppadew, Walker Bay spices and many others. All were from the Westerm Cape and eager to break into the Canadian market. In chatting with several of these exhibitors they commented on how beautiful our country was and felt very welcome every where they went.
Ontario beef had a great presence with several local Ontario farmers. It was a great opportunity to learn more about their farms and how they contribute to the meat industry. Thank you Ontario Beef for the invitation to attend today; it was a very enriching experience.
