Join us tomorrow at Cottonwood Falls Park from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a day full of local food, live music, community, and family fun.

🎶 We're excited to welcome not one, but TWO musicians to keep the park buzzing throughout the day.

🌿 The Indigenous Friendship Collective will be joining us, sharing information about their programs and services.

🎨 Be sure to stop by and visit Dani Black, an Art Therapy student who will be offering creative, hands-on activities for kids and families.

🥕 Shop fresh produce, locally raised meats, artisan baking, handcrafted goods, and so much more from your favourite market vendors.

Whether you're picking up your weekly groceries, grabbing lunch, listening to live music, or simply enjoying a morning in the park, there's something for everyone.

🎶 Double the music, double the fun! 🎶

Also happening this Saturday, we have not one, but TWO incredible musical guests joining us at the Nelson Farmers Market!

Kicking things off from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Jitensha Music will be rolling into Nelson as part of their cross Canada tour. Their sound is an effervescent blend of honey sweet indie pop and neo psychedelia, weaving together catchy melodies, bright grooves, and thoughtful lyrics inspired by the environment, psychology, and universal love. If you have not heard them before, you are in for a treat. You can check out their music at: https://www.youtube.com/c/jitenshamusic

But wait, we're not done yet!

To keep the good vibes flowing all day long, Luke Mason will take the stage from 12:30pm to 1:30pm with his signature acoustic alternative rock. A born and raised Nelsonite, Luke is one of those people who seems to make our community better simply by being part of it. Many of you will recognize him as the lead hand at the Nelson and District Youth Centre, where he spends his days helping support local youth. As if that wasn't enough, he is also about to become a published author, with his upcoming book The Liberal Soul set for release later this year.

Come shop local, support local, and soak up some seriously good tunes. We can't wait to see you there! 🎵❤️

Also joining us this Saturday is Dani!

Throughout the season, Dani will be popping up at the market with art supplies and creative activities, and we encourage everyone to take a moment to slow down, get creative, and check out what she has to offer.

Dani (she/her) is a third-year Art Therapy student at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces that support neurodiversity, encourage self-expression, and provide opportunities for meaningful connection through creativity.

When she's not immersed in art, you'll likely find her spending time with her dog, biking, knitting, gardening, or relaxing in a hammock.

Be sure to stop by, say hello, and take a few moments for creativity during your market visit. 🌿🎨

We have some more exciting things happening this Saturday at the Nelson Farmers Market!

In addition to the Indigenous Friendship Collective joining us, we are also launching an accessibility survey in recognition of Access Awareness Day.

We will have a variety of activities and tools on site that invite community members to think about how different people experience the market and help us identify ways we can continue making the market more welcoming and accessible for everyone.

If you live with accessibility barriers, we would especially love to hear from you. Your feedback helps us understand what is working well and where we can improve.

We firmly believe that "a rising tide lifts all boats." When we make our market more accessible, we create a better experience for everyone who visits.

Surveys can be picked up and submitted at the Farmers Market Information Booth, located beside the washroom building. Everyone who completes a survey will be entered into a draw to win a $25 gift card to La Ruelle!

Come down on Saturday, support local, share your thoughts, and help us continue building a market that welcomes everyone.

And we're not done yet... we have even more exciting Saturday market news coming later today! 👀

Welcome to our first Wednesday Farmers Market of the season! 🎉

This first market will look a little different as we temporarily relocate to Cottonwood Falls Park while the hard working crews finish paving on Baker Street. Don't worry, we'll be back in our usual location on Wednesday, June 10!

In the meantime, don't let the change of scenery stop you from joining us tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We may be a smaller market this week, but we are a mighty one, and our vendors would love your support.

Lavina Espresso will be on site serving up all your caffeine needs, the farm stands will be stocked with fresh produce, and our talented artisan vendors will have plenty of local treasures waiting to be discovered. What better way to spend a lunch break than grabbing a coffee, picking up your groceries for the week, treating yourself to something new, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Cottonwood Falls Park?

Oh, and we're not done yet!

Matt Brown and Friends will be providing live music from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the Youth Centre will be transforming the central grassy oval into a huge kids zone packed with crafts, bubbles, bocce, and more.

The perfect midweek getaway if you ask us. 🌿☕🎶

We are excited to welcome some very special guests to the market this Saturday, June 6!

The Indigenous Friendship Collective will be joining us for their first market of the season and will be popping up throughout the summer.

The Indigenous Friendship Collective grew from our community's shared desire for a friendship centre. While a full centre may still be a future goal, this initiative is an important step forward. Their tent creates a space where Indigenous creatives can connect, share their work, build visibility, and foster community.

Celebrating all ages, Nations, and abilities, the Collective features both traditional and non traditional creations. More than a place to buy and sell, it is a place to gather, connect, learn, and build relationships.

Be sure to stop by, say hello, and help give them a warm Nelson Farmers Market welcome. ❤️🧡💛🖤🤍

We don't let a little rain get us down at the Nelson Farmers Market! ☔🌱

We'll be at Cottonwood Falls Park rain or shine this Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM with an incredible lineup of local vendors, live music, and delicious food.

🎶 Aaron Pasacreta will be performing from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM

☕ will be keeping hands warm with fresh coffee all day long

🌮 MAIZ is joining us for the summer with authentic Mexican cuisine that's sure to become a market favorite.

And the best part? We're all set up under tents, so you won't even know it's raining!

The farm stands are looking beautiful right now, and the Creston asparagus is at its absolute peak. Fresh produce, local makers, great food, live music, and a wonderful community all in one place.

Come down, say hello, and support local this Saturday at Cottonwood Falls Park! ❤️

Our FIRST Wednesday Market of the season is happening June 3rd and we are kicking things off with a one week only adventure at Cottonwood Falls Park ☀️🌿

Due to the final paving and finishing touches on the Josephine Street construction project, we will be temporarily relocating our opening Wednesday market down to the park so construction crews can wrap things up safely and smoothly.

Then on June 10th we head back home to Baker Street for a full season of fresh produce, community, local shopping, delicious food, and all the Wednesday market magic we have been waiting for all winter long 🙂

Thank you for rolling with the changes with us while we get through this final little stretch of construction. We are SO excited to welcome everyone back for another amazing season! ✨

Nelson… do we have a treat for you this Saturday! 🎶✨

Aaron Pasacreta is back at Cottonwood Falls Park for our weekly Saturday Sessions at the Falls and we could not be more excited.

Catch him live at the bandstand from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM bringing all the folk, pop, and alternative vibes that make a market morning feel absolutely magical. With heartfelt originals, incredible talent, and the kind of sound that makes you want to grab a coffee and stay awhile, Aaron always creates such a special atmosphere at the market.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Aaron is a 20 year old multi instrumentalist and singer songwriter who has been making waves across showcases, festivals, and local stages. Inspired by artists like Hozier, Noah Kahan, The Lumineers, Mt. Joy, and Chance Peña, his music blends catchy melodies with themes of hope, love, nature, change, and home.

He released his first single, Time, in June 2025 and has lots more music on the way ✨

So come wander the market, grab some delicious food, support local vendors, and soak in an absolutely beautiful afternoon of live music beside the falls 🙂
