These photos span decades - and what they show, more than anything, is community. Members, farmers, staff, neighbours. The same belief carried forward from one year to the next: that a community can own something together and take care of each other through it.
 
51 years in, that's still what this is.

Every time you shop here, you’re helping fund grants for local groups, fresh food for those who need it, scholarships, community events, and so much more. Organization of the Month🎙️

We got a chance to connect with Amélie and Adam from Kootenay Co‑op Radio to chat about their 26 years as an independent, community‑powered radio station. We talked about what they do, why it matters, and what’s coming up this May during their annual Membership and Fundraising Drive.

Join them on Saturday, May 23 for their 4th annual Block Party at Lions Park. Beyond the music, you’ll find a bouncy castle, face painting, free kids’ bike tune‑ups, and an adult volleyball tournament hosted by the Nelson Filipino Community.
