🌻 Another Record Year for Sunflower Saturdays! 🌻

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, Sunflower Saturdays raised $1,700 this year in support of the Moose Jaw Humane Society!

This initiative would not be possible without the dedication of local growers Len and Bernie, who generously donate countless hours planting, nurturing, and preparing the beautiful sunflower plants each season.

A special thank you as well to Kelsey and the team at the Moose Jaw Humane Society for coordinating another successful online pre-sale and helping make this year's event such a success.

Moose Jaw Co-op was proud to support this partnership by providing the soil used to pot the plants and hosting the sales at our Food Store on May 30 and June 13. With the plants selling out after just two sales, it was another record-breaking year!

Thank you to everyone who purchased a sunflower, supported the cause, and helped make a difference for local animals in need!

On Thursday May 28, 2026 , we had the privilege of welcoming many of our community partners to a special appreciation event focused on one simple message:

Hosted at the beautiful Ballad & Bard Lounge inside the Moose Jaw Centre for Arts and Culture, home of the Mae Wilson Theatre, the event provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the organizations and leaders who help make our communities stronger every day.

As part of the event, we were proud to present equity cheques to many of our non-profit and charitable partners. These organizations support our communities in countless ways, and we are honoured to support them in return.

🌻 SUNFLOWER SATURDAY IS BACK! 🌻

Due to overwhelming popular demand, we are hosting one final Sunflower Saturday - your last chance this season to grab a sunflower plant from Moose Jaw Co-op!

Each sunflower is locally grown by our friends and community partners, Len and Bernie Mintenko, and every purchase helps support the Moose Jaw Humane Society.

🌻 $2 per plant
🐾 $0.50 from every plant sold will be donated to the Humane Society
