Meet our September TEAM VIP Winner, Ryan Hannay! 💛

Through our Team Volunteer Incentive Program (TEAM VIP), Heritage Co-op employees who volunteer in their communities are entered into a monthly draw for the chance to direct a $250 donation to a local non-profit of their choice.

Congratulations to September’s winner, Ryan Hannay, Food Store Manager in Minnedosa! 🎉

Ryan chose to direct the donation to the Nesbitt Community Club, where he volunteers his time on maintenance, handy work and whatever else it takes to keep the Community Centre in good shape. He also lends a hand with the canteen at events.

Ryan saw how much the Centre needed volunteers, and he stepped up. “That’s what communities do. You won’t have it if you don’t put the time in to keep it in good shape.”

His advice for anyone thinking about getting involved? “You’re helping your community, and it gives you a good feeling... you get that feeling of involvement and being part of something.”

Thank you, Ryan, for everything you do for your community! We’re proud to recognize you and all of our employees who give their time to help make our communities stronger. 💛

🤝 Local leadership. Stronger communities. That's the Co-op difference!

At the heart of every Co-op is member ownership, with elected local leaders helping guide its future.

Our Board of Directors is elected by our membership to represent their interests, guide important decisions, and ensure Heritage Co-op continues to grow while staying true to its commitment to the communities we serve.

🤝 Meet your Heritage Co-op Board of Directors:
Brad Ross – President
Keith Murray – Vice President
Lorrinda McMillan – Secretary
Melvin Birmingham – Director
Eric Bjornson – Director
Gerald Cathcart – Director
Charlene Quinlan – Director
Harvey Wedgewood – Director
Dennis Yanchycki – Director

We're proud to have dedicated local leaders working together to strengthen Heritage Co-op and support the communities we call home.

At Co-op, you're more than a customer. You're an owner, and your voice matters.

💛 Co-op Week is a celebration of what makes co-operatives different.

One of the Seven Co-operative Principles is Concern for Community: Co-operatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies approved by their members.

At Heritage Co-op, that principle comes to life through local donations, sponsorships, community partnerships, and volunteer efforts that help strengthen the places we call home.

Thank you to our members, customers, employees, and community partners for helping make this impact possible. Because when our communities thrive, we all thrive. ❤️

We’re so proud to see the support generated through Fuel Good Day stay local and make a difference in the communities we call home.

This year’s donations supported:

Strathclair Skating Rink - $2,005
Brandon Curling Club - $2,100
Riverview Curling Club - $2,100
Erickson Curling Club - $1,375
Wawanesa Curling Club - $1,375
Sandy Lake Curling Club - $950
Rivers Curling Club - $950

Carberry Curling Club - $810
Brookdale Curling Club - $810
Douglas Curling Club - $810

A huge thank you to all of the organizations that partnered with us this year, and to everyone who stopped by, filled up, grabbed a coffee or Big Cool, attended a BBQ, volunteered or helped spread the word.

We’re proud to be local, proud to support Westman, and proud of what we can accomplish together. ❤️
