Each year Prairie North Co-op is honoured to sponsor a number of scholarships and awards at annual graduation ceremonies and awards nights throughout our trading area. The teaching staff at highschools in Kelvington, Melfort, Naicam, Rose Valley, and St. Brieux form local selection committees to award and distribute the $1000 contribution gifted to each school from the scholarship fund.

In most cases this amount is split into two $500 awards; however, the determination of how the funds are divided is left to the discretion of school. Our commitment to our community runs deep, and contributing to a student’s future through the scholarship fund is another way in which our Co-op is investing in our members and our community.

Happy Workiversary! . . . please join us in congratulating Jolanta Graham on 5 years!

Jolanta started her Co-op journey as one of Crystal’s first hires as a new manager. Over the years, she’s taken on many roles and remains a valued member of the Archerwill C-Store team. Known for her fast, friendly service and positive attitude, Jolanta also gives back through volunteering and community leadership. We’re grateful for everything she brings to our store and our community!

She takes great pride in giving back, especially through Co-op initiatives like local burger fundraisers that support community groups.

Thank you, Jolanta, for 5 years of dedication, community spirit, and positivity.

🎨 Brightening Our Communities!

Prairie North Co-op is proud to help bring local projects to life by donating free IMAGINE paint to community groups. This year, we supported the Naicam Viking Sportsplex with 10 gallons of paint to refresh their upstairs mezzanine.

Over the past three years, we’ve donated nearly 200 gallons of paint across our trading area—helping preserve, beautify, and revitalize the spaces that matter most.

Giving back is at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to supporting the communities where we live, work, and play—improving quality of life for everyone.

✅ Eligible groups include registered charities, non-profits, community groups, and youth sports organizations.

It’s the season opener and we’re back with Terri’s Trivia! We have a $50 Co-op g!ft card for the person who can tell us, in our post, what were the poker chips that we distributed redeemable for. A g!ft card recipient will be selected at random from all the correct responses on our page at the end of the game. Only those comments posted between the starting kick-off and end of the game will qualify. As a Co-op we are a different kind of business. We are creating community by giving back. Seeding went fast, and now it’s time to prep for in-crop herbicide applications 🌱🚜
When choosing your herbicide, keep a few key things in mind: rotate chemical groups to help prevent resistance, apply at the right w**d and crop stages for best results, and don’t cut back on water volume—better coverage means better control.
Also, let’s protect our neighbours by reducing spray drift:
• Use coarse droplets (lower pressure, larger nozzles)
• Avoid high winds and dead calm conditions
• Watch for temperature inversions—spray can hang and move later
Smart choices now lead to better results all season long ✔️

Our Prairie North Co-op team was please to team up with the Kelvington Bears to support their 5th annual Ball Day.170 players found themselves in our local community to play ball with proceeds from the concession benefiting the Kelvington Travel Club. We provided 170 poker chips to the players to be redeemed for a Big Cool at the Kelvington gas bar on what ended up being a very hot day to play!

Thanks for letting us take part, we had a ton of fun!
