Crystal Springs Cheese

Crystal Springs Cheese Since 2005, we have been producing delicious cheese with milk from our dairy next door. Crystal Springs Cheese We also added a large yogurt vat that same year.

Evert and Jannie Beyer realized a dream when back in May of 2005 they purchased Crystal Springs Cheese. They had always wanted to own a dairy manufacturing facility. After responding to a classified ad in a local industry magazine this dream became reality. The first few years was spent working on Feta and Gouda, expanding the company customer base and perfecting the art of making cheese. The main

focus in these early years was in the Foodservice sector, providing Feta cheese for customers coast to coast. Crystal Springs has been a labor of love and a family passion. Along with our founder Evert, his sons Jacco and Harvey operate the cheese factory and son Theo runs the dairy farm. Evert is involved in the day to day operations of Crystal Springs Cheese and enjoys working with our loyal client base and bringing on new clients. Jacco joined in 2005 and is our Process Manager and Cheese Maker and is a graduate of Guelph University, where he studied cheese making. Harvey joined the company in 2012 and is currently Product development and Operations Manager, as well as involved in working with Sales and Marketing. Theo runs the Dairy Farm, he is responsible for the well-being of 100 happy cows. Happy cows and top quality milk is the number one priority for top quality dairy products, and Theo’s passion is making sure this is achieved. The original facility was 7,000 square feet and in 2014, with our dairy products in high demand, we expanded to 14,000 square feet. Our newest expansion, which opened in December 2018, is a new 650 square foot retail space and deli restaurant. The space is open to the public and is a wonderful place to come and enjoy our cheese. The feature design includes three large viewing windows into the factory to see just how we make such delicious cheese. In the spring of 2021, we hope to open our new four season patio, to give our customers a place to sit back in the quiet countryside and enjoy our cheese, good food and hopefully local craft wine and beer as well. In March 2019, we took over Bles Wold Yogurt from the Bos Family in Lacombe, AB. We moved the yogurt making operation over to our plant in Lethbridge, and embraced the challenge of continuing on the Bles Wold tradition of fresh, quality farm yogurt. You can find out more about this part of our story on the Bles Wold page or www.bles-wold.com

We're not saying it's muddy... but the ducks are considering buying property on the road....Its a rainy dreary day, but this shouldn't stop you from coming in! For Wednesday special today, we have a loaded chicken burger with a side of creamy dill pasta salad. Our gravel road is currently part road, part mud spa. Embrace the puddles - come and enjoy lunch and some shopping.

Thanks to the very talented Tone Varekamp (grandson of the founders of bleswold) we now have the memories created on May 30th saved and turned into a video!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so amazing, we hope many kids learned a thing or two about farming. Also a big thank you to our neighbor Jerry Keujer (92 years old) who came bright and early to lend us his beautiful Deutz tractor to pull the hay ride wagon (which was also restored by him a few years ago)

What a great day it was, and a big shoutout to our very own hardworking and incredibly motivated Brooklyn!

○☆~National Cheese Day~☆○
Today we're celebrating one of our favorite things — real cheese, made with care from start to finish.
From the cows on our farm to the cheese on your table, we're proud to be part of the farm-to-table journey. Our A2 dairy is transformed into handcrafted cheeses right here, with attention to quality, tradition, and great taste every step of the way.
Whether you're enjoying fresh curds, a slice of Havarti, or your favorite aged cheese, you're supporting local food made close to home by people who care deeply about what they produce.
Thank you for choosing local and celebrating National Cheese Day with us. Stop by and treat yourself to a little extra cheese today, remember... its fresh curd day!— it's practically the law.

☀️BREAKING NEWS: The sun has been located.
After 3 straight days of rain, puddles, and wondering if we should start offering canoe rentals, we're celebrating with a warm Chicken Shawarma Lunch Special!
Loaded with seasoned chicken, fresh toppings, and a side of creamy cucumber salad that's cooler than the weather has been lately.
Yes, the road is still muddy. Yes, your vehicle may need a bath afterward. But that's a problem for Future You.
Today's mission: Navigate the mud. Eat the shawarma. Enjoy the sunshine.

Brooklyn’s Spring Market on the Dairy Farm is going ahead rain or shine 😃

If you would like a cheese factory tour, be sure to come early, and come check it out before you get muddy please 😉
We hope to have a batch of cheddar on the go first thing, with target milling (cheese curd) time at 10:30am.

The kids can enjoy a hayride, bouncy castle, horseback ride and more! Besides the adorable baby calves that live here, we will also bring over our pet lambs and bunny for the kids to pet.

And kids: bring your boots for muddy puddles (parents, since this is a farm, be sure to confirm that all puddles being stomped in are indeed puddles 😂😂)

Hope to see you tomorrow!!
