Just when you thought tomato season was over, our grow tent has another surprise for us! 🙌 We have MORE fresh, farm-grown tomatoes available and we’re bringing them along to the Legacy Inn Hotel Market in Grenfell this Saturday, October 24th! 🍅

Want to stock up? We’re taking reservations for 15 lb boxes of fresh tomatoes for pickup at the market on Saturday. Perfect for making homemade spaghetti sauce, salsa, tomato soup, or preserving a little taste of summer for the winter months ahead! 🥫

🎃❤️ Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference! ❤️🎃

You don’t always have to go out of your way to be a blessing to others. Sometimes, it’s simply about sharing what you have and spreading a little kindness along the way. 🌾

This year, we were blessed with extra pumpkins in our harvest, and we had the opportunity to share some with Kadell’s classrooms for a variety of fun, hands-on classroom activities! 🎃🍂

We are so grateful that we could share our abundance with others and help create some special learning experiences for the students. And receiving such a sweet thank-you letter from the class? It absolutely made my day! 🥰💌

Thank you, class, for taking the time to write such a thoughtful letter! You reminded us that even a small act of sharing can mean so much. ❤️

🍂🐷 Cooler temperatures mean cozy barns, fresh straw, and fall preparations on the farm! 🐔❤️

Fall cleanup is in full swing at Fresh Field Farms, and our animal crew has been keeping us busy! 🚜

Between cleaning up the animals, moving chickens around, and filling the pig huts with fresh straw, we’re making sure everyone is ready for the cooler weather ahead. 🍁

🐷 Muffin Man is pretty happy about his extra-cozy, warm space to snuggle into as the temperatures begin to drop! And Mama Hen and her little ones now have a safe, warm place to settle in for the night. 🐣💛

These little jobs are all part of preparing our Saskatchewan family farm for winter. From fresh bedding to cozy shelters, it’s the little things that help keep our animals comfortable as fall turns into winter.

🚜 Life on the farm never really slows down — the seasons just change what needs doing!

Our 2026 CSA season at Fresh Field Farms has officially come to an end, and we want to send a HUGE thank-you to all our wonderful members! Your support, dedication, and commitment to shopping local help keep our family farm growing. We are so grateful to have you as part of our farm family! 🚜❤️

📦 A friendly reminder! If you still have one of our reusable CSA bins at home, please return it to the farm when you can. We would love to use these bins again for our 2027 CSA season! ♻️ Every little bit helps us reduce waste and keep things running smoothly.

🍅 From the field to the jar, and straight to the dinner table! 🍝❤️

When the tomatoes start rolling in from the field, you know the kitchen is about to get busy! 🌱🍅

We’ve got batches of our homemade spaghetti sauce working their way through processing and into jars, turning this season’s fresh tomato harvest into something delicious to enjoy long after harvest season is over.

Of course, we had to take a quick break from canning to test a batch over a plate of spaghetti for dinner! 😉 The verdict? Family approved! 🍝🙌

There’s nothing quite like the taste of homegrown tomatoes made into a delicious sauce, ready to make family meals a little easier and a lot more flavourful.

🌾🚜 From swathing to the final wash… that’s a wrap on harvest! 🌾

Swathers rolling, combines running, grain flowing into the trucks, and finally blowing off the dust and washing the equipment after another long season! 💛

Harvest is more than bringing in the crop. It’s months of hard work, long days, unpredictable weather, and a whole lot of teamwork. There’s nothing quite like seeing those bins fill up and knowing another season is complete! 🙌

🥬 The 2026 garden harvest is almost a wrap! 🍂🥕

Mother Nature has been giving us a few warnings with patchy frosts, but last night brought our first hard frost! ❄️

We’ve already harvested our cabbages, cucumbers, eggplants, beets, onions and broccoli. Now we’re down to the last of our carrots and potatoes still waiting to come out of the ground.

🍅 Meanwhile, our tomatoes are still hanging on inside the grow tents! With heaters tucked inside, we’re doing our best to stretch the growing season just a little longer.

🌼 The marigolds have been putting on a beautiful show around the farm, and our onions? Well, they’ve certainly seen their fair share of mud this season! 😅 They’ll need a little extra cleaning before they’re ready for the kitchen.

👩‍🌾 The harvest may be winding down, but our work is far from finished!

While we finish gathering the last vegetables, we’re also busy washing, chopping, dehydrating, freezing and preserving everything we’ve grown.

All that hard work means we can turn our homegrown vegetables into convenient, delicious farm-made products for you to enjoy long after the gardens are covered in snow. ❤️
