This photo.. probably one of my all time favorites. This is a photo of finding yourself again, and never giving up. So here is my message to you today……
To the woman in my office last week, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with her weight loss journey:
You’re not alone. So many women are doing everything “right” - eating what they’re told, exercising, prioritizing sleep - but not seeing results. And it’s not just about the scale. It’s about not feeling like yourself.

I understand that frustration deeply. I see it every day in my clinic.

Here’s the truth: while a slight calorie deficit is necessary for weight loss, you don’t need to overload on protein or cut out carbs entirely. Overconsumption of any macronutrient can lead to inflammation, digestive issues, and hormonal imbalances that hinder progress.

Instead, what if we focused on nourishing your body with whole foods? On finding a balanced way of eating that leaves you satisfied and energized? On looking at the bigger picture of your overall health and well-being?

Weight loss isn’t just about calories in vs. out. It’s about creating overall balance in your body.

So to you, and every woman struggling: don’t give up on yourself. Your body is not the enemy. With the right support and a holistic approach, you can find the balance you’re seeking.

If you’re ready to stop fighting your body and start working with it, I’m here to help. Let’s chat about getting you back to feeling like yourself again.

You deserve to feel your best, inside and out. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

What kind of eater are you? Pick the one that's MOST you 👇

🧁 A) The Emotional Eater: Food is comfort and that's that
📋 B) The Meal Prepper: Sunday is sacred, containers are life
🤷 C) The Winger: You figure it out when you're hungry
🥗 D) The Health Conscious: Always reading labels, always curious

No wrong answers here... knowing YOUR patterns is actually the first step to building better habits!

Drop your letter below! We're curious which type is most popular!

To the woman who feels like she’s lost her edge,

To the woman who looks in the mirror and thinks, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore,”

To the woman who’s been dieting since her preteens and now, in midlife, finds herself gaining weight no matter what she does,

I see you. And I’m here to tell you: it’s not your fault.

You’ve been told that weight loss is simple math - calories in, calories out. But for women in perimenopause and menopause, hormones are the hidden variable in that equation.

As estrogen declines, we lose its anti-inflammatory effects on every cell in the body. Fat oxidation goes down by a staggering 32%. We start accumulating more visceral fat, which releases inflammatory compounds and disrupts insulin sensitivity.

And perhaps most frustratingly, the brain starts to drive up hunger and appetite. Leptin, the “satiety hormone,” decreases while ghrelin, the “hunger hormone,” increases. You’re not imagining it - you really do feel hungrier.

So when you’re told to “just eat less and move more,” it’s not only ineffective - it’s dismissive of the complex hormonal shifts happening in your body.

This is where we need to focus on insulin resistance, inflammation, and brain chemistry. We need to nourish the body, not punish it. We need to work with your changing physiology, not against it.

In my practice, I work with women who cannot afford to lose their edge. Women who are ready to reclaim their vitality, their confidence, and their sense of self.

If you’re tired of fighting your body and ready to work with it, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can navigate this transition with grace, wisdom, and compassion.

Your body is not the enemy. It’s your greatest ally. It’s time we start treating it as such.

As my first group of 10-month program clients wrap up their journey, I’m in awe of the transformations I’m witnessing - not just in their bodies, but in their entire relationship with food and self-care.

These women came to me struggling with restrictive diets, constant stress about what they “should” and “shouldn’t” eat, and a disconnection from their body’s true needs. Fast forward 10 months, and the change is remarkable.

They’re no longer bound by arbitrary food rules or afraid of carbs. They can travel and eat out with ease, making nourishing choices without stress or guilt. They’ve learned to trust their bodies and listen to their unique needs.

But the transformation goes beyond just food.

Through our work together, these women have developed a new appreciation for movement and exercise - not as punishment, but as a way to feel strong, capable, and energized. They’ve prioritized sleep and recovery, recognizing the crucial role it plays in their overall health and well-being.

Most importantly, they’ve unlearned the diet mentality that kept them stuck and frustrated for so long. They’ve replaced it with a commitment to nourishing their bodies, minds, and souls in a way that feels sustainable and empowering.

I’m so proud of the hard work these women have put in, and the courage they’ve shown in breaking free from the dieting cycle. They’re living proof that when you trust your body and give it what it truly needs, incredible things can happen.

If you’re ready to experience this kind of freedom and ease with food, I invite you to join the next round of my 10-month program. Together, we’ll work on nourishing your body, reconnecting with your intuition, and creating a lifestyle that supports your unique needs and goals.

Say goodbye to dieting and hello to a whole new way of caring for yourself. Your transformation awaits.

Bad sleep making you eat more? That's not a lack of willpower, it's biology.

When you're sleep deprived:

😤 Ghrelin (your hunger hormone) goes UP
😌 Leptin (your fullness hormone) goes DOWN
🍩 Cravings for sugar & processed food SPIKE

One bad night of sleep can affect your food choices all day long. It's not weakness, it's your hormones doing their thing.

💡 Pro tip: Foods rich in magnesium (like pumpkin seeds, dark leafy greens & dark chocolate) can actually help support better sleep!

Are you a good sleeper or a night owl?

And if sleep, stress, or cravings are making it hard to reach your goals, that's exactly what our coaches are here for.

🍞 Can we please defend carbs for a second?

Carbohydrates have been villainized for YEARS. But here's what the science actually says:

✅ Your brain runs almost exclusively on glucose (a carb!)
✅ Carbs fuel your workouts and daily energy
✅ Whole food carbs feed your gut bacteria
✅ Fibre — yes, that's a carb — keeps your heart healthy

The difference is in the type of carb:

🟢 Oats, sweet potatoes, fruit, legumes = your friends
🔴 White sugar, refined flour, ultra-processed snacks = the real culprits

Don't fear the carb. Choose the right ones.

Do you feel like your nervous system is constantly on high alert?
You’re not alone.
The way we work, and all of life’s demands, our bodies are under constant stress and this low-grade, chronic stress can lead to a host of health issues, including an overactive histamine response.
When we’re stressed, our bodies release histamine as part of the “fight or flight” response. But when stress becomes chronic, this histamine response can go into overdrive, leading to symptoms like:
• Anxiety and irritability
• Digestive issues and bloating
• Skin irritations and rashes
• Headaches and brain fog
• Fatigue and sleep disturbances
If this sounds familiar, your nervous system may be crying out for support.
I turned 41 and it seemed like over night I developed allergies, itchy skin and couldn’t sleep anymore. Yes I was in perimenopause but I knew it was more than just lowering hormones. Stress was effecting my body differently now.
That’s why I’ve designed a comprehensive 10-month program to help you regulate your nervous system, manage stress, and find balance:
• Personalized nutrition and exercise plans to support nervous system health
• Stress management techniques and mindfulness practices
• Targeted strategies to support the gut-brain connection and histamine response
• Gentle movement practices for nervous system regulation
• Emotional resilience tools and self-care strategies
Throughout the program, we’ll use regular check-ins, assessments, and blood work to track your progress which you can take to your primary care provider. If you don’t have one, I have some recommendations for support that has been my own life line these past years.
You’ll also have the support of bi-weekly one-on-one coaching sessions and education written in a way you’ll understand and can implement.
If you’re ready to take control of your nervous system health and find lasting balance, send me a DM. I’d love to chat about how this program can support you.
Your nervous system will thank you.
