There’s always something to pick up for dinner, a a gift for a friend, or something to take to a party, or just a little treat for yourself.
Our product selection changes regularly and seasonally . So if you haven’t been in for a while, there will be always something new to see.
We will always greet you with a smile and help you with any of your questions and maybe even get you to sample a little bit of our treats .

Nearing the end of wild leek season and doing one quick check-in. Picking some leeks to pickle and a few for you guys before the season ends. If any of you want some, send us a message and we will set some aside for you this week of greens and bulbs.
The rest will be fermented or incorporated into some pickles with our asparagus . Plus, wild leek infused honey, and some salts and some pesto.
Happy to see the pheasant back mushrooms are starting to bloom and we keep checking on them each day.

Ontario Asparagus season is in full swing and we always try to make sure we have the freshest on hand.
So today I stopped by after they picked the asparagus and began grading it and picked up what we needed to sell at the store to you guys so you can have delicious dinner .
And to start our pickling of pickled asparagus.

A couple of weeks ago some very cold temperatures hit the farm and the frost caused significant damage. Even with irrigation attempts many of the plants were damaged beyond saving. This even happened inside these tunnels.
To keep the field going the team walked the rows and punched holes into the tunnels and replaced many destroyed plants with new ones.
What an effort. Farmer’s are a passionate group. Love our farmers. 💕♥️👨‍🌾

Grilled Reuben Sandwich
-It’s a big one. And quite special. Made with marble rye bread, sandwiched between corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese and mustard. Dipped in egg and baked!

Im here on our family farm, and we are looking at a pepper field with hoop row planting.
The plants are planted on plastic with irrigation underneath the plastic. This keeps the soil, warm and moist.
The hoops placed on top are to provide additional protection and heat to allow the first plantings of peppers to grow faster and protect from damaging winds and cold temperatures and frost.
Peppers that are planted later in season do not have these hoops on the rows.

Did you know all our preserves are made with our produce or local farmers. Pickled asparagus, beets, our hot sauces and tomatoe sauce.
