Thank you all for a great sale on Saturday! I wondered if this sale might be a little slower due to the weather, but thought 'no, we have really dedicated supporters,' and you all showed it! We managed to break the attendance record for the 5th sale in a row! My prayer that morning was for a spirit of calm to be over the sale, in weather and atmosphere. And while there were times of rain, the wind was mostly still and I did feel the calm, I believe that prayer was answered.

I am grateful to each shopper who continues to show outstanding support to our vendors, to each vendor for your incredible cooperation and making this sale so smooth, to my family for their support and assistance--especially my parents and their endless hours of prep on the yard--, to Josh Baker for his help in improving our network this summer, and above all to God for His peace over the whole event and for His protection.

I know we will all be eager to start thinking about next year, it's automatic! I already have ideas rolling around my head. But for now, it's break time. We will be on our annual break until January 2027 when registration for spring 2027 opens. You will likely see an occasional post during this period but most sale prep will be on hold. Dates for 2027 sales will be released shortly.

Tip #4 Remember to plan for the outdoors

This one seems obvious, but it's easy to forget the simple things when you're focused on the next treasure you'll find! The market is fully outdoors and it's best to plan accordingly. Remember insect repellant, wear durable shoes, and stay hydrated. And for the littles, bring a wagon or stroller, or if that's not an option rent one from the info tent!

Also, though this is an outdoor event, please ensure all pets stay safe and comfy at home. No pets are allowed on sale grounds. With many small children, food vendors, and all the hub-bub of market day, it's best to leave pets out of it and help everyone to have a safe and fun time browsing!

Tip #3 Getting to the sale

For guests coming from Hague and anywhere farther north: Google Maps will direct turning off highway 11 and then turning toward Blumenthal after 1.5 miles. This route IS NOT recommended as the road from Blumenthal to the farm is NOT there, it is a summer track across a field not recommended for travel. The better option is to continue straight south from Hague 3.5 miles then turn east (look for signs at the corner).

We've been busily setting up for the sale so we're a bit behind, but here's tip #2!

Tip #2 Plan ahead with payment options including cash

While many vendors accept various forms of electronic payment, and we anticipate that recent network upgrades will resolve wifi issues, some may be cash only and there's always the potential for unforeseen system issues. Cash is reliable and the $5/vehicle entry fee is cash only as well. It's best to come prepared with options!

It's probably time we fill you all in on what's been happening here over the summer. This is a big one, and we're super excited about it!

We've installed 2 massive 30' poles and cross beam that now form the central entrance. We also installed a central 20' pole at the intersection of Douglas and Evergreen. Then we trenched over 700', laid fiber cable, and attached hard-wired wifi routers to both the 20' and 30' poles which should drastically improve network experience on the north sale end by creating much closer and more reliable access points. A big thanks to Josh at Sica Marketing and to my dad for the hours of time put into this project!

We also extended the boundary rail fence doubling the size of the existing accessible parking area and improving visibility and navigation for vendor arrival and set up.
