We are running a Market in Grimsby at 349 Main Street West and would love to have you stop by. You can find us and our produce Tuesday through Sunday 8:30am to 6pm at our Fruit Stand located at 349 Main Street West, Grimsby, ON.

The apple harvest is winding down on the farm so Farmer Larry is back in the kitchen and making his delicious soup! He will be making a couple of his homemade soup recipes each week. Any suggestions for the next soup recipe that he should make?

We’re are open Thanksgiving Monday 9am to 2pm. Stop by to grab any last minute Thanksgiving meal needs. Farm fresh eggs, pumpkin pie, white dinner rolls, 🥕 🧅 🥦 Brussels sprouts 🥔 parsnips, lots of 🍏 apples🍎 from our farm (including our first harvest of Ambrosia!) and 5 kinds of squash! Butternut, buttercup, delicata, acorn and spaghetti. Plus everything in between, olive oil, vinegars, sauces, seasonings and some beautiful bouquets! And pumpkins 🎃 of course.

Local Ontario Squash. Butternut, Acorn, Spaghetti, Buttercup and Delicata.

Butternut Squash squash - Naturally sweet and slightly nutty. Incredibly versatile, in soups, roasted, mashed, in salads. Pairs well with warm spices like cinnamon and ginger or herbs like sage. Smooth and creamy when roasted or pureed.

Acorn Squash - Mildly sweet and nutty. With a soft texture that caramelizes well. Best roasted in halves with butter and maple 🍁 syrup or brown sugar. Or steamed for a lighter delicate flavour.

Spaghetti Squash - very mild with a flavour similar to zucchini. Easily absorbs seasonings and pairs well with butter, cheese, garlic and sauces. Shred the squash to get “noodle like” strands

Buttercup Squash - rich, sweet and nutty. A little bit denser and less wet than acorn and butternut which makes it very fluffy when mashed. Velvety texture when roasted or made into soup.

Grape 🍇 Scones available at the market today! This is one of my favourites. A burst of grape jelly flavour in a warm buttery scone.😋
This will be the last harvest for the local Sovereign Coronation grapes. So grab them for a delicious fresh snack. The flavour of Concord grapes without the seeds.
