Tanner and Whiskey took the night off to watch the Blue Jays win Game 6... and we got robbed. 😞

This is our fifth year running the self-serve stand — and our first robbery.
Someone decided they needed our cash box more than we did and pried it right off the wagon overnight.

It’s already been a crappy season — drought, crop failures, and more stress than a Blue Jays bullpen. The box had yesterday’s receipts and a of quarters.

I guess they figured honesty doesn’t pay... but around here it actually does. Most people are awesome, and we’re grateful for every one of you who continues to stop by, pay fair, and support local growers.

Tanner and Whiskey are back on patrol tonight (after they finish celebrating the Jays’ win 😅), and we’ll keep doing what we do ... trusting that good people still far outnumber the bad ones.

If you see a suspicious character rolling around town with 30 pounds of quarters… you know where they came from.

Sweet Corn.!
For your convenience, Calehill Farm Fresh has dropped off some of their sweet corn. Drop by and grab some corn, pumpkins, corn stalks, tomatoes.

We are hoping to have some larger pumpkins to harvest in the next few weeks and have a large assortment of smaller ornamental at this time.

Corn Season is almost over and pumpkin season is a bust :(

Drop by the corn stand for today's fresh picked corn and grab some ornamental while you are there. With this Summer's drought, our pumpkin crop is pretty much a disaster ... we have some smaller ornamental styles and will have some medium orange ones (hopefully) as the season progresses (but not many). ... get'm while you can ;)

It's Thursday again.... we are all set up at the Erin Farmers Market until 6:30 this afternoon .

We're on a "Corn Break" ... for 3 or 4 days.

In an effort to have a consistent supply of sweet corn from late July to Thanksgiving weekend, we plant 3 different varieties (with differing "days to harvest") and multiple plantings throughout the Spring and early Summer. Unfortunately, we didn't get the rainfall required for some of the plantings and are feeling the true effects now. The planting designated for harvesting now, didn't produce enough viable cobs and we are currently in an unplanned break in supply.

We are looking forward to begin harvesting another planting mid to late this week and hope to have a consistent supply from then on.

Our apologies for the shortage . Thank you for your incredible support thus far and we look forward to being your local sweet corn supplier again in just a few days. We will keep you posted.
