STRATHMORE 🥹❤️ I don’t even really know where to start. Yesterday was unreal.
When I made the decision to bring HOMEBODY to Strathmore, I had a vision in my head of what this market could feel like - busy, warm, welcoming, full of incredible small businesses and a community that genuinely wanted to show up and shop local.
And you guys SHOWED. UP.
To every single person who walked through those doors, told a friend, shared a post, stopped at a booth, bought something, grabbed a coffee, brought their kids, chatted with a maker or simply came to see what HOMEBODY was all about.. thank you. You made this little dream become very real.
To my vendors: thank you for trusting me. For packing up your businesses, hauling in your displays, showing up with your beautiful work and giving this market its heart. I am so unbelievably proud of the lineup we had.
And behind the scenes, there are a few people I could quite literally not do this without.
My friends - who support the ideas, the chaos, the last-minute texts, and show up by the bus load to shop and support!
My mama - for always showing up and bringing the whole Skin Passions line with her. For supporting me, believing in every wild idea and being there for whatever I need. Skin Passions Body Essentials
Julie - who HUSTLED. All. Weekend. Long. You ran, greeted, fixed, carried, helped and somehow seemed to be everywhere at once. I cannot thank you enough. Julie Cantin
Penny - for hole punching and hanging approximately one million banners and making come together. You make the visions come to life. Penny Anne
And my James - for the hauling, the loading, the unloading, the endless “can you just repaint these arches quick?” and for continuing to accept his position at HOMEBODY at the competitive wage of $0/hour.
Yesterday was bigger than a market for me. It was proof that there is room for something like this here. Strathmore, thank you for welcoming HOMEBODY.
I think we might just have to do it again.🎄 Christmas date coming very, very soon. 😉
