Dates, peanut butter, grilled honey-butter bananas and chocolate shavings, all served on our Sourdough Vienna! Some might call this indulgent..and some might call it a mid-morning snack. 👀

You know our sourdough is amazing right? Well now it's recognized on a global level! It is number 158 in the Puratos Sourdough Library in Belgium! Today, Sourdough 158 is officially documented as part of a global archive dedicated to preserving the history and diversity of sourdough.
At Headon Forest, we call our starter Avril Levain, but the cob Father came all the way from San Francisco where it was born in 1848 at a family run Bakery. Every Cobs store across Canada was taken from the same Cob Father, so no matter which location you visit you receive the same product.

✨ Our Sourdough was invited to join the Puratos Sourdough Library in Belgium, where sourdough levains from around the world are preserved and studied.
✨ There, it’s officially known as Sourdough 158.
✨ Every loaf of our Sourdough takes more than 40 hours to make from start to finish.
