Ag Day at Cod!
The Codrington Farmers’ Market sponsored their second annual Ag Day at Cod on September 19 and what a fantastic day it was! From tractors and vintage equipment to farm implements, fascinating displays, and plenty of friendly conversation, there was something for everyone.
The Hops Barn was open for visitors, featuring a brand-new display of historical panels that offered a glimpse into the past. Guests also had the chance to learn more about today’s dairy farms, try their hand at making rope using an antique machine, and admire the beautifully preserved vintage motorcycles, engines, and other pieces of agricultural history. Live music by String Mashup added to the happy vibe!
And, of course, there were a couple of lucky winners! Congratulations to the two visitors who took home gift baskets generously donated by Jeff Wilson of County Farm Centre.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our exhibitors who travelled to Codrington, set up their displays, and took the time to chat with visitors. We’re also incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who kept things running smoothly - from serving coffee and treats and helping with parking, to organizing the booths and preparing the Hops Barn.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Agriculture in our wonderful community. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and support helped make Ag Day at Cod a truly memorable event!
We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
