Clarence Country Market

A local farmers market located in the Community of Clarence, at the historic East Schoolhouse; 3337 Clarence Road. Markets held Sundays 10 - 2.

A place where vendors, farmers and craftsmen gather to sell their homemade, homegrown, and home baked items. The Clarence Country Market aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who wish to attend and vend! The fee for vendors is on a donation basis, because we realize that there may be days where vendors do not sell as much as they would like. All of the proceeds from the markets go towards projects headed by the Clarence Community Club and Clarence United Baptist Church, and the restoration of both the Church and East School House properties, which are Municipal Hertiage Properties. Markets are held from May to November each year with the last market being a Christmas Market (held 10 am to 3 pm). Important Links -

JUST NORTH OF PARADISE
An Exhibition on the Nature of Things

There is still time to experience 'Just North of Paradise', an exhibition celebrating the landscapes, wildlife, and natural beauty of Clarence and the surrounding countryside.

Featuring the paintings of Janice Leonard and wood carvings by the late Eugene “Bud” Hamm (1919–2009), the exhibition brings together two distinct artistic perspectives on the natural world.

From the changing colours of North Mountain to the birds and animals that inhabit our rural landscape, these works invite visitors to rediscover the beauty and character of the place we call home.

The exhibition is presented in the Vestry (rear part) of the historic North Mountain Meeting House, offering an opportunity to enjoy local art while visiting one of Clarence's most significant heritage buildings.

Exhibition continues through October 24, 2026.

Visiting Hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Location: North Mountain Meeting House (Clarence Church), 2659 Clarence Road, Clarence, Nova Scotia.

Thirty percent (30%) of proceeds from the sale of Janice Leonard's paintings will be donated toward the ongoing restoration of the historic windows of the North Mountain Meeting House.

We invite you to stop in, explore the exhibition, and celebrate the artistic and natural heritage of our community.

That’s a wrap on another season of the Clarence Country Market!

2026 marked our 6th year, and we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported our market this season, especially our vendors, volunteers, and visitors who stopped by on a Sunday to shop local and spend some time with us here in Clarence.

Your support of our local vendors allows our community-run market to continue growing and help address food security.
