Easter Bakery Orders

Hello everyone!

If you'd like to enjoy something sweet this Easter weekend, please place your bakery orders by 5 PM on Wednesday, April 1st. Orders placed after this time cannot be guaranteed for the holiday weekend.

Please note that we will be closed on Good Friday, April 3rd, with no order pickups that day. We'll be back open on Saturday, April 4th.

NOTICE: Easter Scavenger Hunt 2026 – Cancelled

We regret to announce that the 2026 Annual Easter Scavenger Hunt, planned for Saturday, April 4th, 2026, has been cancelled due to wet and muddy conditions on our property caused by recent wet weather.

Out of caution, we had been holding off on opening ticket sales while monitoring conditions. Unfortunately, the property remains unsuitable to host the event safely, and we have made the decision to cancel.

We look forward to welcoming you to Grills Orchards for other upcoming events this season. Please check back here or follow us on Facebook for updates.

Now Hiring: Part-Time Baker

Grills Orchards is looking for a part-time baker to join our small, hardworking team at our year-round country market.

We bake from scratch using quality local ingredients. If you take pride in baking and enjoy seeing customers appreciate your work, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

- Bake breads, pies, tarts, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods
- Prepare doughs, fillings, and components according to established recipes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe bakery workspace
- Assist with prep, inventory, and ordering
- Help with front-of-house tasks during busy periods when needed

Who We're Looking For:

- Someone reliable and punctual who takes pride in their work
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow recipes consistently
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
- Able to stay organized and focused during busy periods

Requirements:

- Baking experience (commercial experience is an asset)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work at a steady pace
- Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Eligibility to work in Canada

After some much-needed time with family and a little rest, we're back and ready to serve our wonderful community.

LAST CHANCE FOR APPLE PICKING!

If you haven’t made it out to the orchard yet, this weekend might be your last chance!

There are still lots of Ambrosia apples on the trees; they are sweet, juicy, and perfect for snacking. Only a few Empire apples remain, so grab them while you can!

🎃 Pumpkin Patch Update — Only small orange and white pumpkins are left. They are easy to carry and perfect for porches and pies!

🌽 Corn Maze — Still open for one last weekend of fun! Takes about 20–40 minutes, depending on your sense of direction 😉.
🎟️ Maze admission $9 / person (kids under 3 are free)

🚜 Wagon Rides — Rolling all weekend, enjoy the fall colours before they’re gone!

🍪 Bakery & Market — Open all year! Stop in anytime for warm pies, butter tarts, fudge, apples, and other farm favourites.

Grills Orchards — just minutes from Belleville, at 886 Grills Rd, just north of the 401 off Wallbridge Loyalist Rd.

FALL UPDATE

🍎 Pick-Your-Own Apples:
Ambrosia (sweet/juicy), Empire (crisp snacks), Cortland (great for baking) - still on the trees and ready to pick. $1.50 / Lb

🎃 Pumpkin Patch:
OPEN! The jumbo showpieces have mostly found homes. What’s left? Smaller, quirky pumpkins (easy to carry and great for porches and pies).

🌽 Corn Maze:
Open, if you haven't had a chance to get lost yet, there are only 2 weekends left. Expect 20–40 minutes to compleat, depending on teamwork and sense of direction. - $9 per person (free under 3)

🛻 Wagon Rides:
Rolling as usual, classic fall views with zero effort required. - Free

The bottom line is that apples are plentiful, pumpkins have personality, the maze clock is ticking, and wagon rides are cruising.

🌾 Special PA Day Announcement 🌾

We’ve had so many messages asking if our farm activities (Wagon rides, apple picking, pumpkin picking, and the corn maze) will be open today, Friday, October 10th, for the PA day.

So… we’ve decided to open for the day! 🍎🎃🚜

That said, this isn’t part of our regular schedule, so we won’t be fully staffed. If you decide to come out and enjoy a fall day with us, please keep that in mind and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Come make the most of the PA Day on the farm, we’ll be here!
