Happy Friday Bancroft!

Whilst we are limited in our area with our super short season, Ontario greenhouse grown veggies are available locally whilst ours are still growing.

Did you know that Ontario is the largest greenhouse vegetable producing region in Canada? We have more than 170 growers with thousands of acres of greenhouse production supporting our food supply chain!

Tomatoes and specialty tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, cucumbers, lettuce and leafy greens and herbs are all grown here in Ontario in Niagara and Guelph region.

Did you also know that most of Ontario’s greenhouse produce is grown hydroponically?

If you can’t find it at BFM, call in at Landis Fruit Market, they might just be able to hook you up!

Thanks to everyone who left tips during the Seedy Saturday & Maple Syrup Festival held in March when buying waffles. $75 was collected and passed on to us by the Bancroft Farmers' Market 😊
