Tomorrow is looking like the perfect opening day for the 36th season of the Almonte Farmers’ Market! We’re all very excited to welcome you back on the Alameda and to introduce you to some new vendors. We’ve got a good feeling about the coming season:) See you tomorrow 8:30-12:30. It’s that time of year again! We are so excited to welcome you all back to the AFM this Saturday!
Here are a few things you should know before joining us on the Alameda:
✔️Bring your own bag, or two;) We also have our own re-usable organic cotton tote bags for sale! 🛍️
✔️Bring Cash as not all vendors are set up electronically. Nearest interact machine is BMO, one block away on Mill Street. If you’re coming into town, there is also an RBC. 💵
✔️Dog friendly! Please be respectful, control your pets, and pick up after them🦮🐕‍🦺
✔️Be aware of other pedestrians. Our space is a part of the Ottawa Valley Rail trail. Expect walkers, runners, cyclists and ATVs. 🏃‍♀️ 🚴 🛺
✔️Parking is available along Reserve Street, at the Almonte Old Town Hall, and at the Almonte Public Library 🚙

A sign of Spring! 🌱

Both branches are accepting donations of seeds for our upcoming seed library! 🌱

Please complete the donation form available at the library or online here: https://tinyurl.com/464ajs54 – one form per variety of seeds – and attach the form to an envelope filled with the saved seeds.
Ensure that seeds are viable. Ideally, this means that they are less than 3 years old and have been stored in a cool, dark place. Commercial and locally harvested seeds are accepted.
