2 STEPS TO MAKE VANILLA ICE CREAM
RECIPE
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
¹/² cup granulated sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
PROCEDURE
Step 1- In a medium sauce pan, combine the cream, milk and sugar together and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Step 2 - Once chilled, pour the mixture, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, once the ice cream is churned transfer it to an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator to harden for at least 2 hours before consumption.
*if you don't have an ice cream maker, place the chilled mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes until the desired consistency is reached.
