SEBA Foods is an initiative of SEBA AgroTech & Seeds Limited, a leading agribusiness company of Bangladesh, which produces planting materials (seeds, seedlings, organic fertilizers and micronutrients). SEBA develops supply chain and export markets for several kinds of crops, mainly – low sugar grade potatoes, aromatic rice, maize and a range of fresh vegetables and fruits and exports thousands of
tons of these products to several famous multinational “processed food” companies of the world as key ingredients for their final products. SEBA has also established local farmers’ centers in rural and remote areas, which are known as SEBA Farmers’ Hubs. The planting materials are distributed through these hubs and the outputs grown/cultivated in SEBA’s own farms and orchards, or through its exclusive partner farmers are aggregated at the same SEBA Farmers Hubs for primary processing. This initial processing includes: cleaning, sorting, grading, weighing, quality testing etc. All products are then transported to SEBA’s central processing and packing center in Dhaka. From there, it is forwarded on to consumer homes directly or to retail stores using own logistics facilities. SEBA is working towards establishing over 500 Farmers’ Hubs across the country. SEBA Foods, aims to create the forward linkage of the above-mentioned crops, fruits and vegetables, to urban consumers, connecting them to the actual people who grow what we eat! It, ensures that the fresh and safe food products reach the consumers directly at their homes, or through a network of retail outlets in most neighborhoods.
