⚓ ITS A LONG STORY.... ❤️

We've welcomed so many new followers recently, and we wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that we're still here, we're working incredibly hard, and we have BIG plans for Coastal Meats!

To say 2026 has been a difficult year would be an understatement.

Earlier this year, council-related closures interrupted our retail operations. We were subsequently permitted to resume limited trading, but just as we began finding our feet again, we continued to face leasing and tenancy challenges that we're still working through, with court proceedings ahead of us next year.

Unfortunately, there's a lot we've been navigating behind the scenes that we can't share publicly while these matters remain ongoing. Whether we'll share more of that story one day remains to be seen, but for now, we're focused on moving forward and doing everything we can to secure a positive future for our business.

One of the questions we're asked most often is, "When are you going to open the shop more?"

Believe us when we say there is absolutely nothing we want more!

We've worked incredibly hard this past year just to keep Coastal Meats going. Gary took on FIFO work, spending a week away at a time, only to come home and work every day of his breaks in the shop.

Between keeping the business running, navigating ongoing legal matters and raising our little boy, it's been an incredibly challenging balancing act. We've been trying to protect our family time, manage the emotional toll of everything happening behind the scenes and still show up for the community we love.

It's been exhausting, but we're still here, and we're not giving up on our dream ❤️

We're hopeful that once this chapter is behind us, we can move forward with renewed energy, positivity and excitement for what Coastal Meats can become.

And trust us, WE HAVE BIG PLANS!

🥩 SO, WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT?

Our next Yanchep Farmers Market is Saturday, 7 November!

We're working our butts off to make this market bigger and better. We've learnt so much from our last one, and we're determined to be even more prepared this time around!

The shop will remain closed for regular retail trading until after the market. If you're chasing something specific to collect, please get in touch, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

🎉 WE'RE RETURNING TO WEEKLY TRADING!

From the week commencing 9 November 2026, our regular trading hours will be:

🥩 Friday 8am – 5pm
🥩 Saturday 8am – 2pm
🥩 Sunday 8am – 12pm

Prearranged order collections will also be available throughout the week.

And YES... FRESH FISH FRIDAYS ARE BACK! 🐟

🎄 CHRISTMAS AT COASTAL MEATS

With everything we're continuing to juggle, our capacity for Christmas preorders will unfortunately be limited this year.

We know Christmas is an important time for everyone, and we're still planning to offer some fantastic Christmas-specific meat packs throughout December to help you stock up for the festive season. We'll share more details as we get closer!

Our Christmas and New Year trading hours:

🎄 22–24 December: 9am – 4pm
🎄 25–30 December: CLOSED
🎆 31 December: 9am – 4pm, plus our regular weekly trading hours that week.

🏖️ 4–10 January:CLOSED

We'll reassess our hours following that break, but our intention is to continue weekly trading into the new year!

❤️ AND FINALLY, THANK YOU.

We're not sharing this for sympathy. We simply want our new followers and our wonderful existing customers to understand why things have looked a little different this year.

Behind the irregular opening hours is a small family that has worked incredibly hard to keep its business, even when things haven't gone to plan.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has continued to support us, place orders, visit us at the markets, share our posts and encourage us to keep going. You probably don't realise how much it means to us.

This year has tested us in ways we never imagined, and we know there are still challenges ahead. But our passion for what we do hasn't changed, and we're determined to keep building something special for our family and our community.

We're still here. We're still working hard. And we're just getting started!⚓❤️

Thank you for being part of our journey.

LAST DAY OF FARMERS MARKET PREP! 😅

It has been BUSY. And if we’re being completely honest… we are stressed 😂

Trying to move what is essentially a whole butcher shop’s worth of meat to a temporary location and get everything prepared, packed, labelled and ready has been seriously overwhelming. It’s been a highly stressful few weeks, but we’ve worked our absolute butts off to get here.

Tomorrow we’re bringing a mix of fresh and frozen meat, plus a pretty bloody exciting lineup!

🐟 Fresh fish — Red Emperor, King George, Rankin, Goldband & Barra

🥩 Preservative-free Sausages all flavours were made with a base of organic tapioca starch

Pepper Steak & Caramelised Onion sausages made with organic beef
Greek Lamb
Bangkok Nights Pork

Venison, Blackberry & Lavender — made with red w**e, so these DO contain sulphites

🐔 And we’ve stocked up on even more Allington Family Farm chicken — completely bleach and chlorine-free!

We’re really hoping all this hard work pays off and tomorrow is a RAGING success. ❤️

We’re excited to see all your faces… and also slightly terrified 😂

See you tomorrow at Yanchep Farmers Market! 🥩🐟🐔❤️

FARMER MARKET PREP DAY 3

We have been working behind the scenes, day 2 was soo boring ! Gary was hungover and we opted to do boring admin tasks that are required for the market day ! Hardly worth filming.

Day 3 and we back at it, stressed and nervous but so happy we can be apart of this amazing community event.

We have always wanted to be community focused and so proud to be able to represent some amazing WA produce.

Check out Y-Local and The Yanchep Project for all the details.

🐔✨ Farmer Market Prep Day 1 ✨🐔

Yesterday we headed down to the Stirling Farmers Market to collect some incredible chickens and we can’t wait to bring them to the Yanchep Farmers Market on the 17th of October! 🌿

We’re so excited to be supporting Zoe and Travis from Allington Family Farm . Their passion for producing quality food really shows through in everything they do.

Their pasture-raised chickens are raised outdoors on fresh pasture, moved regularly, and cared for with a focus on animal welfare, regenerative farming and producing food with a real connection back to the farm. They are hand processed, cold chilled, and are never treated with bleach or chlorine washes, with no added hormones.

We’ve already had a huge amount of interest in these chickens, so there is a chance they may sell out quickly! If you miss out this time, we’ll definitely make sure we bring extra next time because we know this is a product our customers are looking for.

Make sure you get down early and come check them out ❤️
