Our glass library continues the tradition that began with the first milk bottle patented in 1878 and, with that, milk being scooped with ladles from open milk pails (dirt, flies, and germs be damned) into customer containers on the street ended. The first home deliveries, in 1879 in New York City, had wire-held porcelain stoppers. An idea we love.

Thanks once again to those who voted for their suburb. The requests kept coming, and became too loud to ignore.

This time it's the turn of Bayside and Sutherland councils. Following a trial last week, we've launched a new run for these postcodes: 2020, 2216, 2217, 2219, 2224, 2227-2230.

This means our milkmen now service 79 Sydney postcodes. If yours has made the list, we'd love to welcome you. And if we're not in your area yet, keep the votes coming and we’ll keep listening.

We hope this growth encourages businesses in other cities to take on the challenge of creating grocery models that are fairer, healthier and more sustainable than the status quo.
