A note from Tina - GOOD MORNING, MAKERS & GROWERS FANS!
Now be honest… who had a little nibble of peanut brittle first thing this morning? 😂
Because I know I wasn’t the only one!
We had the very famous Bendigo Brittle (yum) at the Market last night, but we also had a sneaky little treat from Urban Cellars / Ironstone Farm, with their Boozy Brittle. And yes, I may have had a little taste when I woke up, purely for quality control purposes, of course! 😉
I thought I’d show you my little stash of goodies from last night.
💙 The beautiful handmade card by Moira Moody (this is going in a frame, because I love it so much).
🌿 The unbelievably gorgeous-smelling rosemary shampoo bar from Wattle Gully Farm. (I’m going to buy an extra one next time because while this one is in the shower being used, I want the other one sitting in my room because it smells absolutely sensational!)
🌸 The beautiful Honey, H**p & Petal Balm from Mudbrick Chateau. Honestly, I couldn’t even pick what to buy from that very beautiful stall. I’m starting a money jar so I can buy SO much more next time!
🍯 And this morning I’m enjoying my cup of tea with the absolutely delightful Ginger Infused Honey from Wright’s Honey Farm.
Anyone who saw the Wright’s Honey Farm stall last night would have been absolutely blown away. What an incredible display!
And there are a whole lot of things I purchased last night that I can’t show you this morning…Because I ate them. 😂
Our foodies were absolutely sensational!
Dede came home with an amazing, huge Cat Scratcher post with hidey holes - which Sam-Sam (one of the family cats) immediately claimed as her own.
My feet are aching, I feel slightly hungover even though I promise I had nothing to drink last night, and I’m already super excited to do it all again next month!
We will have some additional stalls joining us next month, plus some more food and drink choices, and I’ll fill you in on all of those details over the next couple of weeks.
But for this morning, I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who made last night what it was.
Thank you to all of our amazing makers, growers, foodies, artists and musos who packed up their treasures and travelled to be with us. Some of you travelled quite a distance, and we are so incredibly grateful that you chose to spend your Friday night with us.
Thank you to everyone who came along, wandered through the stalls, bought local, had a feed, listened to the music, had a chat and helped create the atmosphere.
And a very special THANK YOU to the rain gods for holding off when we needed them to! 🙏
I hope all of our stallholders got home safely last night, especially those who had a long drive ahead of them.
We did it!
Our very first Makers & Growers Twilight Market is in the books. ❤️
Now I’m off to enjoy my ginger honey, admire my goodies and head to THE BIG SHED (behind the Wedderburn Hotel) for the Loddon Arts Trail Exhibition!!! 12pm - 4pm Saturday and Sunday!
Come by and have a look at all the amazing local artworks!
Thank you, everybody.
Love,
Tina ❤️
