Katong

Katong Singaporean Street Food Nonya cuisine combines Chinese and Malay influences into a unique blend.

Nonya cooking is the result of blending Chinese ingredients and wok cooking techniques with spices used by the Malay and Indonesian communities. Examples of Nonya specialities include laksa, otak-otak (fish paste with chilli paste, galangal and herbs wrapped in banana leave), kueh pie tee, ayam buah keluak and bakwan kepiting (pork and crab meatball soup).
