fish printing is a unique and creative part of how Pipit explores art, dining and seasonal menus
Watch chef-owner and printmaker Ben Devlin share more about this process at on 7 JUNE.

Using local seafood sourced from the market (Thanks to ), Ben will be printing multiple fish to make an ocean scene across the day and you can try the ink-printing yourself with seashells to take a print home, and/or just come have a chat to us! We’re always keen to connect about art & dining, fish, cooking, seafood, The Tweed, Pottsville etc.

Shaped by water, seasonality and place, the Seascapes Program (May to Oct 2026) reimagines the fish market as more than a place to buy seafood, it’s a space for connection, culture and exchange. We also apply similar mindsets to menus and seafood inside Pottsville.

Sydney Fish Market just got a new Malaysian restaurant where every dish combines both sea + land elements 👀 I tried almost the whole menu and some dishes genuinely surprised me 😮‍💨 Plus this is from the same owner behind Ho Jiak!

🍣 Salmon Sashimi ($27) ★ : fresh salmon with marinated egg yolk and soy, everything worked together beautifully
🐚 Scallop Cheong Fun ($14ea) ★ : seared scallops with cheong fun underneath for extra texture, plus an insanely rich foie gras sauce
🍞 Prawn Toast ($10ea) ★ : ridiculously crispy toast with addictive salted duck egg butter sauce
🥟 Siu Mai ($22) : fried pork & prawn dumplings with sweet and sour sauce, slightly meat-heavy for me
💣 Tom Yum Bomb ($22) : Tom Yum flavoured dumplings, but didn’t stand out as much for me
🦀 Malaysian Chilli Mud Crab : a Malaysian classic, but I wanted a little more flavour from this one
🦆 Black Duck ($56) ★ : squid ink glazed duck with pancakes and condiments, the duck was sooo juicy
🍚 Tam Jiak Fried Rice ($28) ★ : sooo much flavour from smoked eel and lap cheong

Frozen produce sometimes gets a bad reputation (we’re looking at you, fish fingers), but does frozen really mean not fresh? Not necessarily.

You’ll find a wide range of high-quality frozen seafood in our retailers’ freezers. Take spanner crab, for example. If you’re not keen to pick it yourself, you can buy it ready prepared and simply add it to a pasta for an easy, delicious meal.
