Dear Stallholders, SVPA volunteers and Produce donators
I just wanted to send a very big thank you to all for a wonderful Easter Market yesterday. The weather was kind, the flow of people was great and the whole vibe of the market was sensational.
The mix of stalls, the holiday campers and shackies and the country market atmosphere made for a perfect mix of locally made, locally grown, locally produced. I know that I sold out of my pies and quiches and that the other food stalls did also. The SVPA sausage sizzle had to call in reinforcements from Yankalilla to get further supplies of sausages, which I must say after sampling one was very delicious. I am very particular about my sausages if you didn't know but that was yummy. (15kg of sausages at the last count).
To David O, Jane, Anne O, Tim, Peter, Lachlan, Jon, Lissy, Rob M, Pamela W, Rob W, David & Sue and team, Caitlin & Tiffany for the Big Green Tractor; apologies if I missed anyone, thank you so very much for your work on the sausage sizzle and setting up of the marquee, flags, tables and chairs, and all round assistance during set up. Tracey Gates for her magic vanilla slices which she passed around to stall holders. OMG!
To Margaret, Richard, Sophie, Baby Beatrice, Sue & David Speck, Peter & Di Neagle, Rob Wallis, Caitlin, etc. ,thank you again for your fantastic produce table and the donations received for it. Margaret, you are amazing and you know how I feel about you. You are so hard working and the produce display which you put together each market is a credit to you and yours and I have had people contact me about it wanting to know in advance what you will have on offer this market. I know you met a family staying at Sea and Stars that wanted to purchase their fruit and vege entirely from your stall. They also purchased pies and quiches from me so they are set for the rest of Easter.
Jo-Anne Bouzi, well what can I say. An amazing talented human being who is so generous with her time and talents. Organising the Easter colouring in competition, providing 3D bunnies for kids who can't have chocolate, chocolate eggs for others, being Easter bunny with her assistant basket carrier Coco, colouring books, bunny ears for stallholders etc, etc etc. You are amazing and your help with organising things for the market is truly appreciative. I can't do as much as I used to due to my health but the assistance I receive from you and others is so very welcomed.
To my handsome husband Bertie, for placing the signs around the district on the Wednesday prior to the market, setting up the Mrs Wallis stand, assisting other stallholders to set up and pack down, putting the sign on the Big Green Tractor, etc etc etc etc etc, the biggest thank you and kisses and hugs. You are my rock. Mr Speck, the most handsomest vacuumer I have ever seen. Thank you so very much for everything you do.
The feedback we are getting from visitors is special due to the above and welcoming nature of all stall holders. Parents have commented on how wonderful this market is for children and the way we go out of our way to make it an experience for them all. Having the extra activities sets us apart from the run of the mill markets.
The amount of feedback on Facebook from market visitors just proves how popular the SV market is.
Look forward to seeing you all again in June and again, I cannot express enough how much the help, thought and input from you all warms my heart and makes this beautiful community market what it is.
