A Quick Clarification About Our Giveaways
“The website didn’t work.”
Our website is hosted by a third-party provider, Shopify. When the giveaway launched, we had over 600 people access the website within approximately 30 seconds. While we do everything we can to prepare, that level of traffic was completely unexpected and outside of our control.
We had been testing the website for several hours prior to launch and everything was operating normally. The overwhelming response simply exceeded what we anticipated.
“Why not make more tickets available?”
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as adding more tickets. We structure our raffles around the value of the prize and ensure they remain fair and compliant.
For example, a $500 prize will only have 50 tickets available at $10 each. This isn’t about making huge profits. Our goal is to cover costs, have some fun, and give something back to our amazing community.
“Why not run them in-store instead of online?”
Running raffles online allows us to manage entries far more efficiently. It enables us to collect participant details, process entries, and track ticket numbers accurately in one place, while also ensuring we don’t exceed the allocated ticket limit.
That said, we understand some people prefer in-store raffles, and we’ll be running a few in-store only giveaways in the near future.
