☕😂 BARISTAS IN TRAINING… FOOD HUB EDITION! 😂☕

Things are getting fancy at the Food Hub! 💙💛

Our wonderful volunteers have been busy learning a new skill… becoming baristas! 👩‍🍳☕

Now, we should probably clarify that our coffee machine is a fancy push-button situation 🤣
So we're not quite talking professional barista school… but there’s still a bit of training, a few buttons to master, and hopefully no coffee-related disasters along the way! 😂👏

We’re learning, laughing and getting ready to serve up some delicious drinks with a side of friendly conversation and community connection. 🥰

So come and support our volunteer baristas, grab yourself a cuppa and give them a wave of encouragement. They might be learning the ropes, but they're serving it up with plenty of heart! 💛

Because at the Food Hub, it's not just about what's in your cup — it's about the people you share it with. 🫶

💙 We all need to feed more than just our bodies. 💙

At the Food Hub, we know that having access to nutritious food is so important. But we also know that sometimes, what nourishes us goes beyond what’s on our plates. 🥕🍎

Sometimes, it’s a friendly smile, a chat over a cuppa, a laugh with someone who understands, or simply having a place where you feel welcome and connected. ☕😊

Because we all need social connection just as much as we need good food.

Life can sometimes feel isolating, and it’s easy to underestimate how much a simple conversation or a sense of belonging can mean to someone.

That’s why we want the Food Hub to be more than just a place to access affordable food. We want it to be a place where people can connect, share a moment, feel valued and know they’re part of their community. 💙

We believe in nourishing our bodies with good food, but also feeding our social side through connection, kindness and community.

💙 What an amazing day at the Food Hub! 💙

A huge thank you to our wonderful Food Hub family for another incredible day! We love being able to support as many people in our community as possible, and today was a great example of what we can achieve together. 🥰

Today alone, we were able to:
🛒 Serve 52 customers
🥖 Give away over 300 items for free
🍞 Share 140 bread products
🥦 Give away 155kg of fresh produce

We are so proud to be able to help families across Port Pirie and the surrounding areas, while also making sure good food doesn’t go to waste. ❤️

Thank you to our amazing volunteers, donors and everyone who supports the Food Hub.
Together, we’re making a difference! 🌱💙

The Foodhub will be closed this Monday 5th Oct for the long weekend. We’re on a mission to keep good food out of the waste bin and into your family’s kitchen! ❤️

We’d love to sell out of our fresh produce and bread before the weekend, so come in and stock up for the school holidays.
