Adding our Organic Carob Powder gives this loaf the most beautiful rich flavour with subtle caramel notes that pair perfectly with ripe bananas.
If you’ve never baked with carob before, this is such an easy place to start.
🍌 CAROB BANANA BREAD
Makes: 8 slices
Ingredients
• 4 ripe bananas, mashed
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup Organic Roasted Carob Powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Optional: 1/2 cup walnuts
Method
1. Preheat oven to 175°C and line a loaf tin.
2. Whisk together flour, carob powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
3. In another bowl combine banana, honey, eggs and vanilla.
4. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
5. Add walnuts if using.
6. Pour into loaf tin and bake for 55–65 mins until golden and cooked through.
7. Cool before slicing.
