Fat Beets Food Hub We are a volunteer-run not-for-profit on the Tasman Peninsula selling local produce and dry goods.

We open online pre-ordering on Monday from 12pm to 5pm Wednesday, and the shop is open Friday 2-5pm and Saturday 10am - 1pm, at 1625 Main Rd, Nubeena.

It’s Wednesday - which means it’s your last chance to order for your weekly collection on Friday!

The online shop is filled with an abundance of fresh spring greens, pantry staples like potatos, carrots and onions, plus load of other locally grown spray-free goodness! Rhubarb, beetroot, radishes and mushrooms, plus eggs, cheese, nuts and seeds, flours and cereals - if you haven’t checked it out in awhile, there will certainly be some new offerings to try.

See you on Friday for pick up, and hopefully on Saturday for our Fresh Food Market day!

Sprouting cauliflower, also called bunching cauliflower, is a sweet variety bred to be picked when the heads are opening up so the florets can be trimmed from the green stalk and used like broccoletto - grown at Saltwater River by Hobbit Hort!

Good morning! Come and fill your basket with green goodness - we have an abundance!

Loads of goodies from the wonderful Hobbit Hort in Saltwater River - tatsoi, spinach, various ‘chois’, fresh onions, baby leeks… plus bunches of carrots, cauliflower and avocado - it’s a veritable FEAST of deliciousness!

The shop is open from 10am until 1pm, and for the final hour all leafy greens drop to half price, so you really can’t go wrong.

The online shop is open for your orders!

Something new this week - locally made beeswax wraps! A nifty way to keep things fresh and covered without single use plastic or foil, and way prettier too. They come in varying sizes and packs of 3 or 4, a great investment for your kitchen!

The shop is full of lush Spring greens, there are some cherry tomatoes, the usual locally baked breads and locally made cheeses, and even some gorgeous locally grown flowers - head over and fill your basket for pick up on Friday. 🫜

The shelves are looking lush and bountiful this week - so many greens, it truly does seem that Spring is here!

… and just a sneaky reminder, all of those leafy greens are half price for the last shop hour on Saturday, so come in at one minute past midday and fill your basket!
