Morpeth Bicentenary Sunday, November 20th
Join Slow Food Hunter Valley at the Morpeth Centenary next weekend. We will be there on Sunday, November 20th from 10am with a pop-up Earth Market stall, our wonderful Seed Library stand and some great activities for the children.
The children’s workshops will feature Native Bush foods with ingredients sourced from the Native Food Garden at the Guide Hall in Maitland. Just be there at the time listed.
Cooking Sessions - Making Native Raspberry and Mint pikelets with a Native Raspberry Syrup @ 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm
Growing sessions - Making newspaper pots and planting them up with Warrigal Greens seedlings @ 11.30, 1.30 and 2.30 or ongoing all day if we have enough volunteers.
The Slow Food Hunter Valley stall will be in Green Street. Pick up some just picked produce and some great Christmas gifts and get the kids cooking and planting with us on Sunday. We will also be giving away more pollinator seeds for you to plant in your garden or to give away to a friend.
There are lots of great things happening over the whole weekend in Morpeth with music, stalls and exhibitions all weekend. So check the link and put Morpeth on your to-do list for next weekend.
