Fredericks QVM

Fredericks QVM In 1857 Frederick Porritt occupied 231 Bridge Road, he was a fruiterer. In 2014, four Richmond Locals opened a fine Grocer on the same site.

In 1857 Frederick Porritt occupied 231 Bridge from a shop and a tent, he was a fruiterer. We suspect he grew fruit and vegetables and sold them from his site. How things have changed. Today the might of Coles and Woolworths control the food market, they manipulate the farmers and suppliers and put small business’s out of business for the sake of their corporate greed. Even Thomas Dux is owned by W

oolworths. I wonder if Mr Porritt used dangerous chemicals and large long term refrigeration to serve his customer. We are confident he did not. We will operate an independent Country Market specializing in wholesome foods from small Australian Producers. Milk from the Kiewa Valley, Ice Cream from Gundowring, Fresh Meats and Deli, Pies from Rutherglen, sauces from Bright along with seasonal Organic and fresh fruit and Vegetables. This is a small offering we intend to supply. Frederick s recently moved to bigger premises just down the street

My heart is full. The magistrate saw the ridiculousness of this $1967 fine for paying a bill late. Thank you for everyone who stood by me and supported me to fight this over the last 4 months. As a solo small business owner it’s very hard to stay positive in such difficult times. Please continue to support small local businesses so we can stay in our amazing community ❤️❤️❤️
