Have you had a moment to yourself today… even just a few breaths?

Intentional time for movement and nervous system nurturance has been so important for me recently. Carving out time to move my body, connect with my breath, and not be in demand feels rare - but so deeply needed.

This time is precious. It’s powerful. It brings me back to myself, free of noise, free of distraction, free of everyone else’s needs for a little while.

Movement is medicine. Not for productivity, not for fixing - just for remembering who you are underneath it all.

What does your body need from you today?

The mid-back holds more than you think 🤍

That ache between your shoulder blades? It’s often from hours of feeding, carrying, and leaning forward.

Small posture shifts can help - but massage goes deeper, releasing tension and restoring ease through your upper body.

Let your body be held, too.

Available in-home or at Maternal & Infant Wellbeing (Fridays) and .house Hatched House (Mondays).

Book via the links in bio.

Do you notice that mid-back ache creeping in?

Birth partners: you’re not “just there” - you’re part of the physiology.

Labour isn’t something you watch from the sidelines.

Your presence, your voice, your hands all shape the space.

In this workshop, we show you how to:

✨Recognise what’s unfolding (without guessing or panicking)

✨Offer the kind of touch that actually helps, not overwhelms

✨Support movement and positioning as labour changes

✨Be a steady anchor when things feel intense or uncertain

Because feeling useful changes everything - for both of you.❤️

Join us Sunday 28 June, 1–4 pm at Fertile Ground, Fitzroy.

There’s something so powerful about having a little stock on hand in those early postpartum days.

A simple broth in the freezer, a jar of pre-made soup, or even a few staple ingredients ready to go can be the difference between feeling depleted and feeling gently nourished. Warm, easy-to-digest meals aren’t just convenient — they support recovery, replenish energy, and help the body feel held.

Time and again, I see clients swap their favourite recipes and food prep ideas with each other - slow-cooked broths, congee, stewed fruits, herbal teas. These small acts of preparation (and sharing) become part of a bigger web of care.

Postpartum isn’t the time to start from scratch. It’s a time to lean on what’s already been prepared - by you, your community, or those supporting you.

If you’re preparing for postpartum, think simple, warm, and ready. Your future self will thank you 🤍

A few FAQs about Embodied Birth: Labour & Partner Prep

When in pregnancy is this workshop best suited?
Ideal from around 30+ weeks, but you’re welcome to come earlier if that feels best for you.

Do I need a partner to attend?
You’re welcome to bring a birth partner, friend, doula or support person. If you prefer to come solo, you’ll still get heaps of value and practical tools to take back to your team.

Is it still helpful if I’m planning an induction or VBAC?
Yes. The movement, mindset, and advocacy tools we cover are just as valuable if you’re navigating induction, VBAC or a more medicalised birth setting.

Is it suitable if I’m considering home birth?
Absolutely. We’ll talk about birth plans, communication and navigating the system – including if plans change and transfer becomes necessary.

If you’ve got another question, pop it in the comments or DM me.

And if this sounds like the support you’ve been looking for, join us Sunday 28 June, 1–4 pm at Fertile Ground, Fitzroy – link in bio to book.

That neck tension you keep ignoring…

It builds quietly - feeding, looking down, rocking, scrolling during contact naps.

Over time, your neck can feel tight, compressed, and fatigued.

Massage helps release deep-held tension, improve mobility, and create space for your nervous system to settle.

You deserve to feel supported, not stuck in discomfort.

Book in-home or visit me at Parkville or .house Hawthorn.

How is your neck feeling at the end of the day?

Your jaw, your breath, your sound… they all talk to your pelvis.

In labour, we want soft lips, soft jaw, soft body – because when you’re relaxed and supported, your hormones can flow and your baby can move more easily.

In our Embodied Birth: Labour & Partner Prep workshop we’ll:

🤎Explore how words, environment and inner dialogue shape your experience.

🤎Practice tools, techniques and vocalisation.

🤎Use simple affirmations and guided audio to help you stay centred, even when sensations are strong.

Come and try these tools in a supportive space, so they feel familiar when labour begins.

Those first few postpartum weeks can feel so held… meals arriving, the fridge full, snacks within reach, cups of tea always being topped up.

And then - quietly, almost overnight - it can shift.

The shelves thin out. The offers slow down. The visitors return to their lives.

Right at the same time that the deep fatigue begins to settle in. When the body is still healing. When the days (and nights) can feel long, and even simple food prep can feel like too much.
This is where thoughtful food support becomes everything.

Nourishment isn’t just about eating - it’s about being cared for, having one less decision to make, and feeling steady in a time that can feel anything but.

Preparing meals ahead, stocking the freezer, or continuing to drop off simple, nourishing food beyond those first few weeks can make a profound difference to a mother and her family.

If you’re supporting someone postpartum, consider this:
Not just “What can I bring this week?”

But “How can I help sustain them in the weeks when support naturally fades?”

Because that’s often when it’s needed most. 🤍
