Our products are sourced from local producers and farmers, which makes them ethical and sustainable. Black Forest Smallgoods has been at Inveresk, Launceston for over 10 years. We’re continuing the long tradition of fine smallgoods makers; and that is...no inferior or cheaper ingredients are allowed to compromise the real taste of our products. No cereals, no fillers and no unnecessary additives a
re used either. That means that Black Forest’s sausages, with their high meat content, and our delicious smallgoods allow full flavours and textures to dominate. Where possible we source products from Tasmanian farmers and makers. Our beef and lamb comes from Pyengana where the animals are treated humanely and are 100% grass fed. Our bread is sourced from various local bakers including Manu, who chooses to use Tasmanian flour, and the Companion Bakery in Oatlands, whose bread is wholly organic. We place great emphasis on stocking products that are gluten free and also additive free. Practically all our sausages and smallgoods are safe for celiacs. Parents love that our meat is free from additives and chemicals that so often have adverse reactions in children.
