With the wet season upon us we often get asked what happens to the bees in heavy rain

Bees sense changes in barometric pressure and humidity, often foraging intensely before a storm.
They stay inside the hive, conserving energy and waiting for conditions to improve.
If caught out, they find shelter under plants or in crevices.

Prolonged wet weather depletes honey stores, stressing the colony.
High humidity inside the hive during rainy spells can lead to mold and disease.
If bad weather occurs during peak foraging times, colonies can face serious risks of starvation

Multi floral honey, the bees with be collecting from many types of flowering trees within their environment like the rainforest or around the hive in a particular region.

🐝 What is propolis and how does it help?🐝

Propolis is a resin-like material made by bees from the buds of poplar and cone-bearing trees, sometimes referred to as ‘bee glue’.

Bees use it to build hives, and it may contain beehive byproducts. Propolis helps fight against bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
It also has anti-inflammatory effects and help skin heal.
