We had a great night at the Knox Business awards last night and whilst we didn’t take home the grand prize we are still extremely thankful to all those that voted for us, to be in the top 3 businesses in Knox was great.

We wanted to give our lovely customers a heads-up about a small change to our pricing from 1 October 2026.

Due to the new government and RBA rules around card payment surcharges, we can no longer charge a separate fee for card payments.

Unfortunately, card providers still charge us processing fees on every transaction, and as a small business we just can’t absorb these costs.

To help cover these costs, our EFT/card prices will increase slightly from 1 October 2026.

Our prices will remain the same for cash purchases

We feel it’s important to keep our cash prices unchanged, as we don’t think it’s fair to increase prices for customers who choose to pay with cash.

🙏 We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. Every purchase makes a difference to our small local business, and we’re so grateful to have such wonderful customers. ❤️

Beeswax bread bags are reusable, eco-friendly storage pouches made from cotton infused with beeswax, plant oils, and tree resin that keep artisan and homemade loaves fresh.

Unlike plastic bags that trap moisture or paper bags that dry bread out completely, beeswax fabric creates a semi-permeable barrier that keeps crusts crisp while the soft inner crumb retains moisture.

Beeswax features mild antimicrobial properties that help discourage mold and bacteria growth.

These bags last 1 to 2 years and provide a zero-waste alternative that replaces hundreds of single-use plastic wraps per year before being easily home-compostted.

Store completely cooled bread at room temperature on the counter; do not use them to freeze bread or store hot loaves, as heat can melt the wax coating.

Wash gently by turning inside out and hand-rinsing in cool water with mild soap. Avoid hot water, which strips the wax.
