An open letter to winter:

Hi. We see you. We acknowledge you are doing your thing. The rain, the grey, the cold, the general vibe of wanting to stay inside in bed. Truly. Very on brand for you.

However, the Kalamunda Farmers Market is on Sunday at 8am-12pm in Central Mall and it will continue to be on every Sunday at 8am-12pm in Central Mall regardless of what you are doing outside. This is not up for discussion. This has never been up for discussion. You have been doing this every year for as long as we can remember and every year we show up anyway and every year it turns out to be a very good Sunday morning. And that is very on brand for us.

So. With respect. We'll see you out there.

Sunday is coming. The Kalamunda Farmers Market will be there. You should also be there.

We know it is winter. We know the bed is warm and the outside is not. We know that staying horizontal on a Sunday morning is a compelling argument. But here is the counter argument: fresh local produce from people who grew it, good coffee, good goodies and the specific kind of Sunday morning energy that you cannot get anywhere else, and the quiet satisfaction of being a person who goes to the farmers market in winter while everyone else is still in bed.
