The Torres Express has been designed to act as a support vessel for the East Coast and Torres Strait Fishing Fleet so to remain operating in an economically sustainable environment.

Torres Express delayed arriving Thursday Island, now arriving 14:00 today

The Torres Express will be at Thursday Island main wharf by 10am tomorrow (Saturday 14/9)

Regrettably the Torres Express will have to modify its current schedule due to the unfavourable weather forecast for next week. We expect our travel time will be longer than normal and this time extension will affect the Gulf Fishing Fleet fuel duration.

We have also taken into account the time required to return to Cairns from the Torres Strait and have made the decision to return to Kurumba from the Torres Strait instead, to unload and refuel.

This will ensure that the Gulf Fishing Fleet doesn't run out of fuel.

We hope all our valued customers will understand our decision and the amended service run is below.
