Bees are so fascinating. They are so busy. Look at all the job they do in 45days. This only applies to the worker bees, not to the drones and queen.

In hot weather like we had this weekend, bees are hanging outside, known as bearding, referring to bees clustering at the front of the hive, in a beard-like shape. This provides space inside the hive for added ventilation on a hot and humid day. The bees outside fan fresh air into the hive.

Honey harvesting is back on after a wet 2022. Honey production is in full capacity with plenty of flowers around.

Queen spotting during a mentoring session with new & excited local apiarists. First time harvesting a flow hive as education and comparison to the traditional Langstroth hive boxes.
