Yesterday , a group of adults entered our store together with children. Two women were carrying large handbags.

While pretending to shop, they deliberately filled the bags with chocolates and confectionery. One woman exited the store and waited in a vehicle, while the other continued attempting to steal items inside.

When our staff noticed the behaviour and intervened, the group ran from the store. During the escape, one male individual attempted to physically attack our staff.

🚔 Police have been informed, and full CCTV footage has been handed over.

This incident is deeply disappointing.

This behaviour does not only affect staff. Shoplifting and fuel drive-offs cause significant financial loss to small local businesses. Unlike large corporations, these losses come directly out of our pockets and impact our ability to employ staff, keep prices fair, and continue operating.
