Firstly, we want to thank everyone for the incredible support and interest in Gunbalanya Meats.

As a small regional abattoir, our first priority is servicing the needs of our local community. Providing a reliable supply of meat to local community, businesses, and organisations remains at the heart of why we operate.

While we are proud to see growing demand for our products across the Territory, our processing capacity is limited and can vary throughout the year depending on livestock availability, staffing levels, seasonal restrictions, and other operational requirements.

This means there may be times when we are unable to take on new customers, fulfil all orders requested, or service certain locations. We understand this can be disappointing; however, we would rather be transparent about our capacity than overcommit and let customers down.

As demand continues to grow, we are working hard to improve our operations and increase our capability where possible. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience, understanding, and support of a locally owned and operated Territory business.

We aren't a large commercial processor with unlimited capacity. We're a small team committed to producing quality local meat, and sometimes that means recognising our limits while ensuring our community comes first.

Wow! What a response.

Over the last 48 hours we've been overwhelmed by the number of emails, messages and enquiries. Thank you for your interest and support.

We know many families are looking for affordable ways to feed their households without sacrificing quality or nutrition. We're seeing buying trends shift each week as people look for better value and smarter ways to manage their grocery budgets.

At Gunbalanya Meats, we're committed to offering quality products at prices that remain accessible. We believe everyone should have access to good meat at a fair price, and we'll continue doing our best to provide just that.

We've been a bit absent from Facebook lately, and the reason is simple: we've been flat out! Between the day-to-day demands of running the business and getting everything ready for the Wet Season, social media has slipped down the priority list.

The good news is that while we've been busy, our community has continued to grow. We've gained many new followers and customers, and we're incredibly thankful for your support.

We’ve all be eagerly waiting for Cahills Crossing to open and being able to dispense with using airfreight for this weeks run through to Darwin.
Although the crossing gates have been unlocked the tides and weight restrictions on Gunbalanya road means we need to hold off for another couple of weeks. Better to be safe than take risks.
This car was stuck on the crossing on the weekend and later swept into the upstream side by the incoming tide.
