DO I NEED IDENTIFICATION TO PICK UP MY PARCEL FROM THE POST OFFICE?

YES! No exceptions.

Even if we know you, we are not allowed to hand over your parcel without identification.

WHY?
This helps to keep your parcels safe from unauthorised people trying to intercept your parcel or important letter before you do.

It is Australia Post Policy that your personal and current photo ID like a Driver's Licence, Passport, Proof of Age card, Work ID with name and photo or School Photo ID is shown at the counter. Depending on the type of ID presented, if it is not enough, you may also have to show other documentation to prove address that matches your parcel. We also match phone number where necessary.

Please note that items are kept at the Post Office for 10 working days before Australia Post rules require us to return them to sender.

If you are away and cannot pick your parcel up within this time-frame, please phone Australia Post Customer Care Centre on 131318 to authorise us to put a hold on your parcel till you return.

If you are away on holidays, Australia Post offers a mail holding service, if you would like to know more come in and see us.
