Ancona ducks are a beautiful and relatively rare heritage breed, known for their unique spotted feather patterns, friendly personalities and excellent egg-laying abilities.
Originally developed in England, Ancona ducks are hardy, active foragers that make wonderful additions to backyard flocks, hobby farms and family properties.

🏡 Caring for Your Ducklings
Ancona ducklings are hardy, fast-growing little birds and relatively easy to raise!
🔥 Heat Requirements: Ducklings generally need supplementary heat for approximately 2 weeks in warm conditions. Depending on the weather, brooder temperature and feather development, they may require heat for longer.
🌾 Feeding: Provide suitable duckling starter feed to support healthy growth and development.
💧 Water: Fresh drinking water must always be available, deep enough for ducklings to rinse their nostrils. Swimming should be supervised while they are young, with care taken to prevent chilling.
🏡 Housing: Provide clean, dry bedding, plenty of ventilation without cold drafts and a secure, predator-proof environment.
🌿 Outdoor Adventures: As they grow and become properly feathered, they will love exploring, foraging and splashing around!
