As we officially sign off on our second year of Sunflower events on our farm, we are grateful to have the support of such a wonderful community!
This year we were thankful to a number of local businesses who jumped on board to support with offers of support and sponsorship to help create even better events and allow more people to enjoy a small aspect of our farming industry here in Mackay district. To each of you THANK YOU!

Your support allowed us to create a better venue, offer bigger and better events and be able to support and make donations to some of our local community here in Eton including Eton State School and Mackay & District Hack and Pony Club.

Hi everyone! We’ve been a little quiet since our big sunflower weekends recently, we know.
At first it was because we simply needed a little rest, but most recently we’ve been dealing with major water damage to our shop Blossoms Flower Boutique which has kept us on our toes this past week! ☔️💦🪣😱😳

So please bear with us until we can spend time on all the posts we need to do to thank everyone and post some really awesome photos & videos we have from amongst the sunflowers 🌻🌻🌻

It's our last session of the season this afternoon with a SOLD OUT event once again. If you're joining us for this event, here's a few reminders:
🌻Ticket holders only, this session is sold out. (or jump in with a friend in their car if they've got one!)

🌻The session is between 3:00-5:30pm - come anytime between those times

🌻No food and water available so please bring your own waterbottles and snacks

🌻Bring your snips/scissors & bucket/basket to pick-your-own flowers if you wish. $2.00 per stem. Very limited amount of snips and buckets for hire $2.00 each.

🌻Toilets available

🌻EFTPOS and cash welcomed

🌻NO SMOKING anywhere on the premises

🌻Well behaved dogs on leashes welcome

🌻Please be careful at the train crossing!

We are a little saddened to have to post this, but it seems once again necessary. We kindly ask that you DO NOT ENTER our private property without prior consent. This is for your safety, and ours. This is for ALL of our fields, including those that can be seen from the roadside near Eton.

You'll notice that there are signs in place in this field CLEARLY stating DO NOT ENTER. Not only are these private property, but as the sign also says, they have been sprayed recently to control some pesky bugs and insects.

Can you see and take photos from the side of the road? If it's safe to do so, absolutely!
Should you cross drains and driveways and enter the field to take your pickings of our sunflowers? Absolutely under no circumstances - No.

So...WOW! That's all we can say 🤯🤯 We're almost all sold out for our last 'no frills' walk through sessions this weekend! Thanks again for supporting our little sunny venture again this year - we are completely blown away by your response!

A little info for this weekend PLEASE READ!
🌻Your tickets tell you your session times - but they are: Saturday and Sunday 7:30 - 10:00am OR 3:00 - 5:30pm. Please check which session you booked for.

🌻If it says 'sold out' yes, we are sold out. Feel free to go on the wait list (on the booking site) and if openings come up, you'll be notified. We will not be responding to further messages asking if we are 'really sold out'.

🌻Bookings are PER CAR so feel free to fill up your Prado with all the crew under the one ticket

🌻DON'T FORGET - it's going to be hot (that's why we made it an early session 😉) bring your waterbottles, hats, sunscreen etc. Closed in shoes recommended.

🌻No pre-picked bunches will be on sale, it's 'pick-your-own' only if you choose (our pickers are still recuperating after last week's efforts!). $2.00 per stem on exit. Bring your scissors/secateurs and bucket/basket.

Hi everyone! BIG NEWS - OPEN ONE MORE WEEKEND!

We have been a little quiet as we recovered from such an amazing and busy weekend and we still have LOTS of thank yous to make on here but... we have just come to a decision... the fields are still flowering pretty nicely and although they are no longer *perfect*, we think many of you would still enjoy having a wander through. So... for ONE MORE WEEKEND ONLY we will open up our farm for visitors!

Please note this is absolutely *NO FRILLS* compared to our big events last weekend! This is just an opportunity for you to stroll through the sunflowers, take some fun photos and pick-your-own flowers if you wish to. $2.00 per stem - BYO scissors/secateurs, buckets/basket to pick!

$5.00 entry only per CAR. There will be porta-loos on site but no stalls, water or snacks.

Tickets are limited again so please don't delay. This will be our last weekend open!

We are so immensely grateful for the extraordinary support that the Mackay and district community has shown to us and we can't thank you enough.
We know many people missed out on the events they wished to attend and we're sorry for that but it's truly wonderful to know that our events are so well received.

Rest assured we hope to continue to grow in the seasons to come! We also kindly ask you to remember that we are simply a two person team with kids and businesses as well and we are doing our absolute best to run these events, keep up with demand and with all the many messages and comments and requests, if we've missed yours, it wasn't intentional!

Some quick answers to FAQs...
🌻Other events? Short answer - not at the moment. Long answer - we don't have the extra field like we did last year (thanks hungry ducks...but that's a story for another day) so we are unsure if the fields will be up for visiting on another weekend.

🌻Is there anymore tickets? No. Sorry. Feel free to subscribe to the waitlist (via the ticket site), if tickets become available due to cancellations, you'll be the first to know!

🌻Can I just turn up? No. We have restrictions on cars and kindly ask that only ticket holders come out.

Our first Sunflower Market Morning is locked in for this Sunday 12th October. A relaxed morning filled with wonderful local markets stalls including:
fresh meat and jerky
delicious baking
homemade craft items
orchids
rare cactuses & succulents
flavoured coffee beans
crochet toys and flowers
homemade candy
fresh flowers
and more!

Our farm machinery will be set up and ready to climb in and check out how we plant all those flowers and grab a photo or two 'driving'.

While browsing the stalls, enjoy a coffee or frappe from Coffeelicious2U & yummy breakfast burger cooked by and supporting Eton State School P&C Association.

Don't forget to bring your hats & sunscreen. Feel free to bring a chair or picnic blanket and sit back to enjoy the views too!

You can pick your own sunflowers too! Bring your scissors/secateurs with your bucket or basket. Only $2 per stem or buy pre-picked bunches for $10.

Please remember: our whole farm is STRICTLY NO SMOKING.

Well behaved, sociable dogs on leash are welcome as long as they are ok with crowds and other dogs.
