Yen’s Bakery in Port Kennedy is looking for a full time Qualified Baker to work in our busy bakery.
The applicant would have more than 2 years of experience in dough or pastry production and will be responsible for ensuring daily production targets are met in a timely manner. This is a hands-on, lead baker role with mandatory 2am shifts.
Responsibilities include:
- Weighing and measuring ingredients for the preparation of baked goods.
- Forming loaves to meet quality standards and shape.
- Monitoring oven temperature, humidity, and baking times.
- Managing retail bread outlets and maintaining bread displays.
- Complying with food hygiene and safety requirements.
- Monitoring stock levels and production requirements.
The applicant must be a self-motivated multitasker who can also work as part
of the team. The applicant must be fast, efficient and possess good time management skills to prioritise and execute the daily workload. Possessing a high level of detail while being a clean and organised baker is a valued trait.
Please send your resume outlining previous experience and references as well as why you think you are the right person for the position. The expected salary will be between $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience.

Requirements:
 Weighing and measuring ingredients for the preparation of baked goods
 Kneading dough by hand or using industrial dough mixers
 Forming loaves to the desired shape
 Baking items in the oven (electric, gas or wood-fired)
 Monitoring oven temperature, humidity and baking times
 Removing naked bread from the oven
 Managing retail bread outlets
 Setting up and maintaining bread displays
 Complying with food hygiene and safety requirements
 Keeping work and shop areas clean and tidy
 Monitoring stocks and ordering new supplies based on production requirements.
